This surely looks like it can compete with the Korean twins! Hopefully we get more powerful engine options.

Imo, it looks boring and old already!
Wonder why Suzuki and Maruti just can't get their designs right.

Re: Maruti-Suzuki lines up updated model range for India

Suzuki has released a new teaser image on its social media handles. The teaser shows the car’s LED headlamp cluster, which seems inspired by the Ertiga.

The giant awakens. Looks set to be a product blitzkrieg from Maruti in the coming quarters.

Drive on,

Is it the new S-Cross or a Suzuki re badged version of the RAV4? That's what it looks like, at least to my eyes.

If doing facelifts is the idea of awakening, Maruti may as well continue its slumber! All this is more of the same, offers nothing new to the customer.

More of the same isn't always a bad thing. Maruti's might is not because of designer style cars or powerful road toys. It's dependability, a wide network of support and a car for every budget range. For >90% of folks in India, the lack of infrastructure requires them to gravitate towards a simpler owner experience which Maruti, among a few other manufacturers, provide in spades.

How is the either related?
A better autobox, a stronger structure, nicer design, quality interiors......none of this dilutes simpler owner experience.

Maruti's product stagnation isn't borne out of a fear of losing customers, it's simply due it's lack of R&D prowess as well as it's arrogance of the market position it currently enjoys.

Personally I like seeing maruti continue as is, this opens up opportunities for other Indian manufacturers.

So what is your version of visible R&D prowess?

An updated s-cross may actually get the numbers to Maruti's level of success considering the appetite for sub 4m SUV / cross-over.

A cosmetically updated Brezza will bring back the shine to MS lineup as Brezza has great sales numbers in the face of stiff competition.

Compared to the mish mash that the Creta and Seltos are, I actually prefer the understated looks of this one. Look the bumper of Seltos! It looks like it has applied red lipstick in it's sportier varients.

The lower bumper and grille design is so complex that it's just not easy on the eyes.

The Safari/Harrier look awesome. The current S-cross with that weird grille doesn't. I prefer the upcoming design. It will age gracefully. Simpler lines look boring but classy.

I just love the way the new Civic looks. Total Drool!
