Wow - what a looker! Especially from the side and the rear. The front looks a bit overdone and may not last the test of time, but the rest of the package looks attractive.

The Verna has always been a car with great features and powerful engines in its segment. Its Achilles heal has been space. This one looks like a length upgrade which may finally fix this.

Also the Verna generally brings some D-segment features down to the C-segment and also previews some of the cool stuff we can expect in the next Creta - e.g ventilated seats. Wonder what next segment feature they will bring to the C-segment this time.

I wish Hyundai address below two things that will make life more easy:
1. Provide auto-folding ORVMs
2. Get rid of that embarrassing beep sound of car lock/unlock

The new design concepts look hideous at first, but but the more you look at it, the more it grows on you. Now i feel like thats one of the best designs and I cant wait to see for the the final product.

Glad to see a Proper MT could be offered, hope Hyundai does not again make the blunder of making a iMT. It should be either a proper auto or a proper manual, middle ground does not work for most of us.

Wow! This turnaround from hating the earlier leaked pics to liking these sketches is just like what happened with the XUV700 before official reveal. Remember those distorted leaked images in some Orange/Copper colour that never made to production?
Hopefully the Verna will look as good as in these sketches.

I believe HMIL also saw the hideous looking renders doing the rounds ( on TBHP as well ) and decided to shut the negative press with this sketch release. A job well done IMHO.

I think The New Verna will be a massive hit, if it has the below requisites.
1) 4 or 5 star crash rating
2) Competitive pricing
3) Better legroom compared to the previous generation.

Love it or hate it, you have it give it to Hyundai for trying, both in terms of design and drivetrain (engine gearbox combo).

Looks brilliant in sketches, have to see in real life to see if the proportions hold true to photos.

Cannot be done on the later models because Hyundai has done away with the extra 'hooter', and instead uses the horn for these sounds/alarms. I could not do it in my last-gen Creta.

I have an Alcazar, and there is no beep sound on lock/unlock. I’m not sure if it by default like that or dealership disabled it prior to delivery. I shall check and confirm this method if it enables or disables beep on Alcazar.

As a recent owner (we bought it pre owned) of a 2013 verna 1.6 petrol, I am breathing a sigh of relief as the early renders were honestly really heartbreaking. Now that I've seen the design sketches and the fact that it'll get a 1.5 turbo paired to a six speed manual makes me really excited! As the Virtus (my segment pick) sadly doesn't get the manual option, add the fact that it also has Hyundai's reliability and widespread dealers makes it a safer bet than the VAG twins, let's hope it comes out looking decent in reality and well priced!
