This much I came to know today.

And Price Hike is very much likely
So much for the facelift. I was hoping that Toyota would launch AT version of Innova this time.

These are the few changes in the 09 innova as per a dealer in Mumbai.

The new innova will have a new honeycomb structured grill, auto climate control AC, New wooden Finished dash board, Auto controls on the Steering, MID (multi information display) as in altis, reverse sensors, reflectors on the rear bumpers.

There will be an increase in prices of around 20K and expected only in FEB.

Yes they did, although the price list hasn't been out, but they are taking 50k as advance booking fully refundable.

It will not be a winner but kill all competition totally . I dont understand why is nt innova doing this ? Maybe it has seen what happened to a/t scorpio ! That should nt stop the innova from being auto !! Even at other international toyota site s where the do feature innova with A/T transmission it s with petrol engine !! MAybe they have nt mated the 2.5 D4D to autobox at all anywhere .

New Innova launch on Jan. 28th is confirmed and bookings started now.
Source: Toyota

Waiting for list of new things they offer in new Innova.

I hope they bring Diesel AT as an option in couple of years at least. Petrol AT might not sell because of very less FE so it won't come in India unless road and traffic improve here which might happen in 10 years!

Ravi.

Kudos to your optimism, Ravi!
You seem to have missed the Supreme Court observation that even God cannot save this country!

Innova is always overpriced by 40,000/- hence deserve at least 50,000/- discount always. Also remember Innova is costlier by 1+ lac compared to what it was costing in 2005 when its launched. We need to check about other vehicles in its category how much price they increased in last 4 years.

In dec. 2008 they reduced Innova price by around 40,000/- and Jan 1st 2009 they increased the price by 40,000/- and now for New FaceLift If they increase the price again its daylight robbery by Toyota its shame for playing with price too many times which can be termed as unfair strategy.

Except playing with price strategy one can trust this machine it for its reliability No other vehicle come close to this technology/practicality. So at the end of the day paying premium is worth it!

Regards,

Ravi.

Looks like Toyota is adopting a single styling scheme across its entire range. Nice work as usual, scoopindica
