The price in Delhi for Diesel is Rs 32.92. Interestingly, its almost a buck cheaper in Gurgaon. I heard on the news that quite a few petrol pumps have closed down in Delhi so they can make the extra bucks tomorrow morning.

It's tough for the consumers but a necessary decision, we cannot keep expecting the government to subsidize us and pass on the bill to the future generations. Now, if only they would do something about the petrol/diesel price differential. I'm tired of subsidizing the diesel consumer who gets better mileage to boot.

Filled the tank of my Splendor this evening at shell. Super unleaded was Rs 50.95 per litre. Normal unleaded costs Rs 2.00 less.

Unleaded petrol at Shell was increased almost more than a week back from 46.xx to 49.xx.
Super is 51.xx
Also spotted long queues at petrol pumps tonight! No point wasting 1-2 hours just to save few bucks!

Are they giving a hint about the Union budget itself?
I am sure the share market will respond to this tomorrow.
Shell is not going to wait I guess

I looks like it was a UPA's election strategy to reduce the Petrol price before the election.

About a week back, I visited Pondy and the cost of petrol there was 38.63!
Man, I wanna move to Pondy!

Didn't know about this. Was driving home after dinner at a friend's place (so hadn't had a chance to catch the news aftr work), and saw MASSIVE queues outside all the pumps. Figured tomorrow there'd either be a strike or a hike!

Well, this was bound to happen. At times like these, I wish I could fill fuel in Delhi or even better, Pondy. Why the hell does it have to be so high in Blr?

I realised the hike was announced only when I pulled ionto 2 petrol bunks last night and they refused to fill more than 5 liters. I was on querter tank and planned to leave early morning on a highway trip. Luckily found another bunk that filled my tank up. Let's see the peoples reaction today. I expect anger, but don;t think you can blame the government for everything!

Rs4 hiked. So, back to 50 in Bangy. Will there be anything good in this action? May be less number of private vehicles on road? Man, I think I am wishing for horses!!!

"suppose to", but who cares. That too when they are in absolute majority. They play with everything, even the projection of inflation.

I wish I could buy the food & groceries cheaper as projected by congress inflation.

Anyway with the hike of petrol everything will become costly but when price was decreased nobody bothered to bring it down.
It is all political gimmicks. If govt increase price for LPG and Kerosene then I believe petrol will not raise like 10%.
