Quiet a strategy eh?

May be we should just call it the G3 City (G1 being the OHC and G2 being the NHC).

Was just wondering. would the present City ZX VTEC be available at bargain prices? It was 890,000 ex-showroom in Goa when last inquired, has alloys, ABS, leather, and maybe an option for someone looking for a keeper for the next 5-6 years.

So Honda launch the City finally. Checked out the Mumbai prices and they really dont seem all that bad after all. From the looks of it, the E will be a big hit and Honda have not at all compromised with the safety features this time offering airbags et all in the E version. Its going be tough getting rid of all the existing NHCs. Honda will have to give them away at huge discounts.

This just might be the car to be standing next to my OHC soon. The 1.5 S AT for my dad.

That is right. The only way Fiat can think of is to plonk the 1.6 MJD that is going to be in Brazil.

That's something interesting that I have noted. The ANHC/G3C has found the favour of the OHC owners unlike the NHC that was always a mixed bag. This may be the car that will replace my OHC.

Looking at the specs, and certain features which are not in Civic, and now that Civics are too common, I think, potential Civic buyers will be tempted to go for the loaded ANHC AT model with paddle shift..

Potential winner from Honda

The car looks fabulous. I guess the extra wheel base will mean better stability too.

Time for a TD and plunge this Diwali is going to rock!!

Also now it makes sense to by iPhone! No point in accumulating CDs in the car!

*Guys I know 4GB USB drive cost 600 bucks - but I need a reason to splurge 34K on iPhone - I am still not sure though*

I agree quicksilver. I always though the NHC was a love it or hate it thing. Its been more than a year since we sold our dad's car and we were waiting for a good replacement. The new City has come at the right time and I'm glad we waited. It would be nice have an OHC and the ANHC standing in the same garage. Will need to take dad to see the car once it hits the showrooms. Was also thinking of a used Civic but this seems better and it will be a brand new car too.

The pictures of the new City on the Honda site have alloys. so maybe they will be available as accessories. Hope they have the design shown on the Thailand version.

The car seems awesome, and for the first time since the OHC one feels its not over priced!!!

Does this mean that the Jazz can be expected to be priced well (5.5-7 L depending on the version) as well?

Only thing which catch my eye is Turning Radius, which as per site for ANHC is 5.3 m, don't you guys think its too much as for Civic and Innova its 5.4 m. I feel this will give us hard time while turning on narrow roads.
