Nope. No pictures. I too wanted to have a look at the interiors as I heard there were some changes to that. ACI only has mentioned about improved transmission as a change apart from obviously the heart

Has Suzuki already Launched Swift and dzire with K-series Engines.

While going through TOI delhi Edition spotted this AD on last page for Swift and Dzire , All well with that , surprised though with engine Choice mentioned In AD , a K - Series 1.2 ltr petrol engine claiming a FE of 17.94 KMPL.

SO Finally Maruti has Swift and dzire with K - series , 1.2 ltrs feels under powered , for a Dzire to me

There is NO change in the exterior, interior or cosmetic features. ONLY the engine has changed. The picture of KB under the swift's bonnet has been posted by me some pages back in this thread.

I can understand no major exterior changes, but why no interior changes??? this is strange man. They could have changed the plasticy interiors for something better...in the Zxi at least.

I was considering to buy the swift vxi but now that it is relaunched with the smaller k series engine i might have to rethink. Swift is the only desirable hot hatch around after they stopped the palio 1.6.I wish maruti would eventually upgrade the swift and give it the powertrain it deserves.

I think as per the specs and marginal power loss, but better transmission, and the gear ratio's you will not lose much, if at all you like swift and want to aquire one.
of course, upping the powertrain will definately do a world of good, but as per present 1.2 is what, finalised.

auto car india seems to speak very well of the K Series engine going by the article and figures in their latest issue.
apparently there is no feeling of "lack of performance" or "grunt"!
has anyone amongst us Test Driven this K Series Swift yet?
any real life views on power delivery etc yet apart from general speculation?

Well, the K-series is something that Maruti seem to have got very very right.

17.94 is an ARAI figure. Expect 14-15 in real world city and 16-odd in highway.

A rejoinder to the add. Agree partly for Swift. For Dzire the ad should be , the best (con job) just got better.

From all accounts the K Series will turn out to be a typical Maruti-Pulse-of-the-market-driven HIT!

The Dzire, though many of us dont seem to like it, still provides the normal Indian family with amazing value, at the price. Therefore, it will continue to sell well.
