What Sid means is that Indicruze has ABS, EBD, and Rear Disc Brakes as standard across all variants. The use of equal sign may have mislead you.

Also, Some buzzing bee (quite reliable) has told me that the launch is scheduled for Jan 05, 2010 unlike most other vehicles which are being launched on Jan 06, 2010.

Maybe, TATA doesn't want to dilute the excitement for this product by placing it among countless other launches on Jan 06. Also, such a strategy would guarantee headline pics on Jan 06 when other cars will be launched!

Also, It is believed that Ratan Tata himself will unveil the vehicle thus proving the landmark occasion this is for Tata Motors and Tata Group.

But, the again a lot of planning is quite hush hush and I could be wrong.

I need not necessarily mean that. I may mean top end variant.

Hye guys, Happy new year.
@sunil, nice catch
It seems that we all are predicting too much on a thing which no one is sure about.

Basic question. What would be the final name of the vehicle?

If they are launching it on 5th or 6th, teaser website should be up and running, like for Manza, by now.

It is just the unveliling on 5th or 6th. I heard the actual launch and bookings starts in February end or March. But defenitely wont be a long wait.
This vehicle has gone thru the most comprehensive road tests and components testing, so the quality this time should be the best that TM ever produced. This will prove the Indian automobiles could compete with the Japanese at least in home turf. Also with the name recognition around the world (With the introduction of Nano and Aquisition of JLR), TM canot afford to make any mistakes. Let us all hope for an excellent product, Happy new year

well.
i kinda like the looks.
nice choice of alloys by the way.
well the CG image looks better than the test mule. But somehow it looks like a bloated Vista
looks pretty decent compared to the xylo (which basically is a cow).

A cash cow you meant, eh?

And yes, if the actual vehicle does resemble the one showncased years back, it will be better looking than the Xylo.

Any idea what engines this will be powered by? the tried and trusted 2.2 ltr from the Safari or a bigger engine? its quite obvious that this large vehicle will struggle with anything less than 130-140 bhp

The lukewarm market response to the XYlo makes me a little worried about the whole van market.

Why is TATA not focusing on making a worthy challenger to the Scorpio.

@Mpower, Xylo's lack of success can also be attributed to it's styling. Hopefully, IC will be more contemporary.

@redcandle, the pics on Edmunds are hardly worth a mention - the spy pics taken during testing (in Europe ?) are much much better.
