Just got hold of Zigwheels magazine a few days back. Its huge (as in the page size). Content is OK, paper quality is superb.

Costs only Rs 10.

I do not subscribe as suc, but buy interesting issues from the stands. My choice is Top Gear. I like the format, and the readability of the articles.

I was buying ACI but now I have stopped it after reading JAZZ review and their justification for price which felt like they do as per the company.one more reason was I could find most of the stuffs online before they publish and why reading the same stuff by spending RS.100

I think the days of the long essay type articles are over. Today's person is not a reader but a scanner, i.e., he scans through the magazine and reads only what interests him. And this interest has to be held and this cannot be done by lengthy essays but through presentation: photos, graphics, charts, tables -- all easy to grasp. In view of this, I like:

1. Autocar India
2. AutoBild
3. WhatCar/Top Gear

But I feel that except for WhatCar, all of them are over-priced, particularly when they are loaded with advertisements!

For me, it would be Autocar for the Indian content and TopGear for international content.

Inspite of the leading magazines mentioned here, I would also subscribe ZigWheels if they start their subscribtion.

I have been buying car magazines for a long time since the Indian Auto Journal in 1988. But i have always been selective and buying issues which had articles of interest to me. Overall i feel Auto Car has been the best......but Team-BHP is even better

Your above statement surprises me. ACI in fact has clearly criticised the Jazz's Pricing.
Here are some select quotes from the Magazine.

July 2009:

Editorial Page: "The Jazz is particularly expensive for a hatchback.

August 2009:

Editorial Page: "The Jazz is more expensive than many saloons and that's esentially the problem. The Indian mindset that hatchbacks have to be cheaper than saloons hasn't changed."Page 97: AUTOCAR VERDICT
"That the JAzz also takes the hatchback game forward there is no question. But at Rs 8 lakh, it is way too expensive. And still Honda shortchanges you - You don't get essentials such as alloys, seat height adjusters or even a parcel tray."

It would be nice if you could point out any reference where ACI has justified the Pricing......or were you refering to some other Magazine.

Saw a new magazine yesterday 'WHEELSODD'. It claims to be a 'tuner' magazine. Has anyone subscribed to it or read it??

If to select one, autocarindia and bikesindia mags are good to read.
