The dealer tells me that they will be receiving the new safari the only changes, wood finish center console and the meter lights are blue in colour. He also mentioned that the vehicle with the chrome grill & ORVM's and new dual tone interiors will only come to them in the month of june. I have been duying to but the safari, was waiting for the next generation to be displaced at the auto expo 2010, was quite dissappointed to not see it there, they then decide to pass it of as new tata safari 2010 buy just giving the not so required chrome grill and ovrm's and interiors, worst even that so called face lift vehicle will take 6 months to hit the showrooms.
Please help !!!

The 2010 model should have the updated interiors. Most likely the dealer is trying to sell you some cold cakes from 2009 stock. If you search this forum there is a way to figure out the manufacturing date of the Safari from the the VIN number. From another thread it looks like the interior updates and BSIV maybe only for the VX version. Which version did you ask the dealer for?

I drove the new Tata Nano and its nowhere refined as a Jazz. How disappointing!

Any new scoop pictures of the next generation safari.....kindly update. I have finally deffered my decision to go in for the current version. I think its better to wait for the next 8 - 10 months. Have lots of hope from the NG Safari.
