So it would be "fun" to see the 320d doing its stuff.

Why ? Sir, you are the one who said 2'ish is the ball park figure, not me

2:2x's should be possible on a stock Fiesta S maybe (just maybe) even a CRDi Getz. (Let me be clear on this one, I ain't no Hyundai fan)

My money is on the Fiesta anyways. 320d is "not" in this game if it is it simply is not fair game.

in the recent overdrive test the fiesta 1.6 driven by "gaurav Gill" did a lap around 2m22s so i guess anything close to that must be good!

here are the timings of some fast cars
even the mighty 180bhp laura 1.8 tsi did it around 2min12 s

OT - Bala is at it very seriously undertaking a strategic planning exercise to make his move at the ultimate showdown with ulladai kumar. Spy shots in the pipeline.
I am having a tough time driving my car with that lousy exhaust, I will leaving it to rectify, hopefully I get it back in shape during this time.

Looks like Bala is making his baleno track day, where is the verna - gone into hiding.. I see there is lot of action happening in the meet thread about this..

Fankly, if Gill can do a 2:20 on a stock Fiesta running stock tyres plus the weight of the passenger (who happens to be a team-bhpian). It would take someone with horrible driving skills, not to be under the 2:30 mark in a Fiesta with upgraded tyres and no passengers.

So a sub 2:30 is not even a difficult time on a Fiesta 1.6, if you know what you're doing.

Jeez man, why all this peer pressure even before the track day starts.

Guys just go out and have some fun without hurting yourselves or your cars. Times will come slowly. Take it like a game of Sunday Golf.

It has nothing to do with peer pressure. I was just giving an explaination as to why i feel a sub 2:30 is not a difficult time to beat. I rem Headers in his Gypsy was doing a 1:31, so a Fiesta should be well below that time.

1.31 or 2.31?

Btw @ 320d: Jeez now thats going to steal all the thunder, so suck it up Balenos and Fiesta Ss.

Frankly to me the most exciting car on track on that day would be the mistress.

But not to take away the thunder from the Verna, I guess I will be the only guy rooting for it after Prasanna (After I beat it of course)

i am nowhere near the skill levels of sideways, JD and many others. never was.

i'm just looking to have some fun and not set any times. so dont let me steal any thunder from any of you.

that said, lets not take any chances whatsoever, with ours or others' cars. Pay & Practice sessions are exactly that. you have to beat ur own time, not anybody else's.

Pls remember, there are no tow vehicles, doctors, ambulances & marshalls for pay & practice days.

Be Safe!

^^ +1, rather than bragging about timings and all, lets go and have fun :P

about timings i don't think anyone has any proof about them so there is no purpose in typing imaginary timings

Im guessing this is Nitrous's esteem? Does it have any special mods done to it?
