JPM: "I didn't get the chance to run in the dry today when I had to sit out the first practice as the team had to do a precautionary engine change on my car. The second session was obviously very wet from the beginning so it was no use doing any running. At least Alex got a decent amount of laps done in the first session so we will really have to rely on his feedback. I look forward to tomorrow when the weather hopefully will be dry, but as this is Spa you never know."
It seems that JPM engine change will cost him 10 places.

man whats wrong with the mclarens..they inevitably happen to place their cars 10 places down the grid even before the qualifying starts..and someone suggested that the ferrari of michael schumacher will run away with the race if it rains..but thats not that easy as the bridgestones dont have a good wet weather tyre setup for this season..infact the bridgestone head admitted that the michelin wet weather and the intermediates were far better compared to the bridgestones,so they have no hope that michael will do better than the top teams running on michelins..hope thats true..dont want a ferrari to spoil the drivers championship..

McLaren's preparations for the Belgian GP were upset when Juan Pablo Montoya underwent an engine change after the start of first practice.

However, because the Colombian had not yet taken to the track with his original engine, he won't get a ten-place penalty.

Italian GP winner Montoya was due a new engine for this weekend, but problems with another engine on the dyno gave the Mercedes engineers a headache, as JPM's original Spa engine contained parts from the same batch.

This time its the Renault of Fisichella which will have an unsheduled engine change and will lose 10 places on the grid. It will be quite a blow for Renault.
Alonso was the quickest in the Final prctice session ahead of Kimi. Hope Renault show the same pace in the race too.

I thought it would rain during qualifying, good qualifying for both the Mclarens and great lap from Montoya. Trulli was very impressive in the Toyota.
I think the Renaults are a match for the Mclarens in speed. Alonso's car looked heavy on fuel.

that was one helluva race..saw the way MS crashed out, deserves it..poor JPM,man what have mclaren got to do to get both their cars on the podium..and the move by narain to avoid villeneuve crashing into him has got to be one of the best car control manouvers i have seen in the past 2 or 3 years..and as predicted kimi steps on top of the podium but i guess kimi lost the race in more than one way, owing to the fact that mclaren needlessly gifted the renault the 2nd place on the podium..and the drive by ralph in 2nd place for those few laps was worth watching, too bad for him that his gamble didnt pay off..all in all a great race..
