Davidson's time is not really a pointer since he is the third driver and his car can use more tyres and higher engine revs since they dont have to preserve the engine for the race.

Mclaren is definately struggling.Honda looks fast over one lap but that they will be consistently fast is still unkown. The renault picture is still not clear and ferrari are fast but they can get still faster as they have gone much faster during testing at Baharain in Feb.Saturday practice will reveal the actual picture.

Hope Ferrari is as fast as they look.cant wait for MS to get back on the top step.

Formula1: 2006 Bahrain GP

Well, a new season begins and the qualifying looked quite promising.
There were some sortof expected events like McLaren's track record of always having poor reliability in the past seasons.
And then there were the unexpected like (well almost) Ferrari regaining its position on the top with a Ferrari 1-2. Honda and JB's very good qualifying record.

One thing though to note, is that with the current qualifying system, the Ferrari 1-2 can possibly mean nothing or mean everything since every car is still on race amount of fuel and Ferrari can very well be on light amount of fuel.

Here are the current grid positions as I remember them:

1) Michael Schumacher
2) Felipe Massa
3) Jenson Button
4) Fernando Alonso
5) Juan Pablo Montoya
6) Rubens Barrichello
7) Mark Webber
8) Christian Klein

Finally the Prancing Horse is back, it was awesome to see ferrari 1-2. This one was a special pole position for Schumi, its his 65th pole equalling Ayrton Senna's.

Both Micheal and Massa are in the front row. so, it cant be fuel strategy.
They really must be fast.
