Rossi being fastest definitely means he has the answers to bike setup, but tomorrows qualifying will tell us at what pace can Lorenzo ride.

Will raise the stakes of bet after tomorrows session, too early to judge a tthe moment!

Nice race!
The battle between Marco and DePu was real classic.

Two people crashed their title hopes today - Jorge and Alvaro.
Looks like one more title celebration for Vale at Malaysia!

What is Rossi going to do once he wins again this year.?

Man , he must be fed up of winning.

I think he said he was intrested in Rallying the last time around. Do not know what exactly happened to his F1 Dreams though.

It was indeed a good race, Stoner was really pushing hard on that Ducati GP9.
All those slides while exiting corners indicate he was running the entire race with the TC system at its minimal authority.

Massive error by Lorenzo as he touched Nicky and went out, thanks to him Nicky finished the race in last position with a difference of 1 lap. One GP9 finishes first the other last

So now rossi leads the championship by 38 points from lorenzo, i think just two races to go and 50 points to grab. rossi does have a good chance to wrap things up this weekend.

Rossi - 2009 MotoGP Champion

the last race proved, FORM is temporary & CLASS is permanent !

Rossi could have taken Stoner if he wanted . . . but was a wise decision to finish 2nd & grab the championship.

Lets wait for the final race of the season, by then Rossi will be the champion & lets see the best motorcycle rider ever with fire works on the track.

46 . . . the number
!!!

Well Rossi tried to overtake Stoner but it was just not happening. Noticed the way Stoner was just power sliding all around the track, that means he was not using TC that much was not worried of converving tyres or engine, which proves he was stronger at Phillip Island.

Rossi surely will win, just needs 12 points to be declared winner at Sepang.

But mathematically Lorenzo can still win this. But we all know thats not happening.

even if lorenzo finishes 1st in the next race, all rossi has to do is come in the top 4 and the title is home. things will get difficult if he fnishes anywhere below 4 and the battle will be taken to the last race. however Rossi does have a good history in Malaysia. so another PLus for him.

stoner & lorenzo can do anything now . . .

. . .as long as they know, it really does not matter now whether they finish or not. Will stoner do that kind of slide if its a close race for the championship is to be seen. and if he was not doing that (slide) Rossi would have taken him - i can bet on it.

Rossi had to be careful . . . and those who has seen the moments after they parked the bikes & the press shots can understand that.

Well captain I dont think there is a way to come to a conclusion whether Rossi could take Stoner or not as the other Fiat Yamaha was not on track to judge its pace around Phillip Island. Though I have little doubt about Rossi's skill to overtake Stoner

As long as Vale is able to bag those 12 points at Sepang, this race will be forgotten

Through out the second half of the race, it was clear who could do what but didn't do

With due respect, Stoner is a great rider but I somehow get the feeling he is not as composed as Rossi, looks a little bit hustly bistly. Is just my opinion.

Next year becomes interesting. Hope Stoner doesn't have that mystery sickness, young boy Lorenzo learning something from the doctor (to start with - stop crashing ) and the doctor himself. Bring it on!

Love the passion we all share for Valentino Rossi and MotoGP

just 3 more days to go till he bags his 7th title!

Next season indeed will be mighty exciting with Ben Spies joining Tech 3 Yamaha (watch out for him at Valencia). By the way who is just 10 points behind the championship leader Haga (of Ducati) in WSBK and is going to win it before the races in Valencia

Macro Simochelli, Bautista too join the premier class in 2010 so there is a lot of fresh faces too, and with the engine regulations and testing restriction it gets even more close (though I believe current testing rules are good).

Go Rossi!

Lorenzo crashes out at the 1st corner.
Could there be a WORSE title challenger?

Well yeah I agree with you nitrous, but if you take a look there hasnt been a tougher season for Vale. Ever!

Lorenzo is the next big thing in MotoGP and Fiat Yamaha will once again have their riders fight each other next season.

But in 2 days, Vale will make history once again !

Do you guys think he will celebrate like the old days or do a grown up version like 2008 ?
