This is annual affair with Melbourne. Every year, just before the race and after the race when the organisers announce a loss , the media and a few politicians keep saying how the race is losing money and why the government should stop hosting the race. After a few days everyone forgets about it and keep waiting for the next race.
The government keeps losing a lot of money on the race, but the locals earn a lot from the people who visit the race. F1 fans spend a lot of money on merchandise and other items. The local businesses are quite happy with the race. The hotels charge a premium of over 100$ per day over the normal rate, during the race weekends. You would be lucky to get a room without prior booking in Melbourne for the 4 days of the race week.
Still, every year there will be people calling for the race to be stopped. Somethings never change .

A serious rumour in F1 which is expected to be clarified by 31st Jan.

It will be Infiniti that will own the Red Bull team and Red Bull will be title sponsors and they will have Nissan engines (ie Renault engines re-branded as Nissan engines).

I doubt that is going to happen. I have read that article and it seems like Joe Saward was only speculating based on the press release he got regarding Renault's car sales. And I don't see how Infiniti would own the Redbull team. Joe was only talking about Renault marketing their engines under different brand names to different teams. I don't think Redbull is going to sell off their team so soon after winning the championship.

Force India confirm Sutil and di Resta as drivers, and Hulkenberg as reserve driver.

Hulkenberg apparently has been given a long term contract, which means that either of the main drivers falter, he will be the replacement. In short, Sutil has been put on notice.

This is one of the best lineup in F1 for 2011.

For the first time Sutil will have a strong teammate and the best car till now (hopefully). Plus having Hulk in the team will keep both of them on their toes.
If and when Sutil leaves (most probably next year) then Hulk will be there to take the seat. Plus all three of them also have a good chance of joining Mercedes in the future.

Ferrari have become the first team to introduce the car that will race this season. It is named Ferrari F150. From the reports, it looks more of a evolution from the previous F10. Changes have been made to ensure the front tires heat up more quickly. KERS is back and is a slimmer version. The rear suspension is revised and more innovative according to the chief designer Nikolas Tombazis. The driver's seating position is also raised.
