Glad you and your friend found our posts informative and helpful. Also, congratulations on your new Car

Mud flaps - I'd advice you to stick with Honda OEM ones. Since the vehicle is relatively new in the market, I doubt if there are proper Non OEM ones.

Tyre dealers in Chennai : BM Lal, Whites road! That's the place. Best in town, I have got the tyres of my Santro changed over there and recently changed one tyre of my Liva there(Totally forgot to post about that here) The new one is a BridgeStone 175 Section tyre, others are Goodyear 175 Sections.

Accessory shops: Loads to choose from. Be careful if you're in GP road, people are waiting to over charge you and shower your ride with duplicates for the price of original when they see you drive there in a brand new car.
Jeevajee in Anna Nagar is a good place and then there's Leo Car accessories off Mount road. These are good places and have genuine stuff.
Thanks for your suggestions and Input saadat1992. Sorry for the delayed response(internet issue at home).Past weekend i visited Jeewaajee - chamiers road and saw good collections of Accessories there.Have selected few options there and discussing with family. Will finalize one soon this weekend.

Oops. I confused Jeewaajee with Car Spice in Anna nagar :P

Anyway, both the places offer amazing collection of accessories!

Update:

Currently in Coimbatore now!
Came here yesterday and the white knight crossed the 38,000km mark.

Did 680kms so far and there's still quarter tank left. Driving has been kind of aggressive with the needle hovering around 120kmph mark most of the time. That's a decent mileage for a car with 4people ,boot loaded to the brim and AC on all the time.

Update:

I guess this is the quickest update.
Crossed the 39,000km mark yesterday.

Returned from the trip day before, covered 1550km in total. Used up 1 and half tanks, had half a tank left even after reaching home. That is impressive considering the load, the terrain and the speeds. The first full tank lasted for 770km before it hit reserve.

Also, the practicality and the mammoth space of this car came in handy when transporting heavy luggage. Had the seats folded completely & did several trips in and around Coimbatore with the cartons loaded like in a Tata Ace :P

Car still drives like new & performs effortlessly.

So that is like an average of 19 kpl approximately, considering you filled in once the reserve icon lit up. Not bad at all! Great going.

Yeah bro!
I also happened to run into amalji on my way to Coimbatore! Exchanged pleasantries and drove off

Update:
Had an issue with the TVSS, took the car to Harsha Toyota and got it checked. They claimed that there was some loose contact in the wiring and as a result of which TVSS wasn't working.

Also, replaced the wiper. Cost me 750 bucks! That's a lot considering the fact that the last time I replaced it, it cost me 400. Car's still under SMILES package though.

Had an issue with the headlamps , the ceramic holders were gone for good! Too much heat! They lasted for 3 long years. Got the holders alone replaced at the local accessories shop.

It took me 2-3 glances to be reasonably sure that it was you.

What were the exact symptoms?
And where exactly was the loose contact?
Was it related to any additional accessories fitted?

That's because you replaced the whole wiper blade. You could have just replaced the wiper blade rubber ( which is available as a spare for the etios ). Cost would have been just 250 odd.

Were you using higher power bulb than the stock ones?
Is this also related to the loose contact?

Haha. I kinda figured it would be you once I saw the KL registration!

The buzzer didn't work one fine morning, the red light that usually blinks when the key is inserted , was dead. I was able to unlock the car with the key! Then, dad took it to Toyota and all they said was there was some loose contact in the wiring. What made us suspicious was, they had removed all 4 wheels and fixed them back it seems :/
Dad didn't ask them as to why they did that cos he was in a hurry.

Yeah, I use osram 100/90W set up with ceramic holders and Phillips relay. The ceramic holders got burnt due to excessive heat, got them replaced as well

Update:

The white knight touched the 40k mark today!
Did a 650km highway run in the last two days, the tank is at 1/4th. This is impressive considering the fact that we were driving on single lane state highways filled with potholes and slow moving vehicles where you can't go beyond 3rd - 4th gear.

Been quite busy lately. Here's a late update!
The odo is at 41,400kms. Car braved the Chennai floods even after being driven in bumper high water this week!

Havent been taking the risk of taking it to flood hit areas lately! Floods in Chennai are horrible nowadays! Sad to see so many cars completely submerged in water! The Max water I waded through was bumper high. Rear suspension has been a bit noisy lately! Will have to get it checked once the rains are gone!

Case of Vandalism:

Was really annoyed & angered after seeing my left ORVM lying on my bonnet. Thanks to some MORON who vandalised my poor car.
Happened at the airport parking last night.
Looks like This Mr.(Enter some expletives) , tried removing my car's left ORVM but, cracked the mirror in the process & left it on the bonnet. There were no impacts on the mirror cover, so I'm assuming it must have been an attempt to steal / vandalise it. Why do this to someone's precious ride? Hope he learns a lesson or two the hard way.
Finding it difficult to park & drive in B2B traffic without the left ORVM :/
