The Linea twins are just too good and their colours show up well !
(Both internal and external). I was just reading about RD tuned Ertiga.

So just a thought. How does it work for Linea? Any ideas ?

Mileage gets better after we cross 10k and stabilizes by 15k, from my experience. After the Tholpetty trip my car is running smoother too.

With loads of luggage, AC running all the time, too many acceleration sprints, 270 odd kms ghats out of 1,112 kms and more than an hour of idling and more than a litre of spilling of diesel still gave me a mileage of 17.82 kmpl.

So effectively, I can assume that the car is actually performing as intended, but I am going beyond what is supposed to do

re: Petrol Hatch to Diesel Sedan - Fiat Linea - Now Wolfed

Forgot to post one more update. The car had the first puncture yesterday while returning from Munnar near Bannari. A screw (about 1 inch) had done the damage on the right rear tyre. But the pressure did not drop much. Got that repaired in Chamarajanagar and it costed 120 bucks.

FE update:

32nd Refill - 293 kms - 19.80 litres - 14.80 kmpl - Avg Speed - 22 kmph

33rd Refill - 378 kms - 20.50 litres - 18.44 kmpl - Avg speed - 68 kmph

34th Refill - 316 kms - 20.87 litres - 15.14 kmpl - Avg Speed - 23 kmph

35th Refill - 333 kms - 19.41 litres - 17.18 kmpl - Avg Speed - 43 kmph

Was hearing a bit of weird noises which was sounding like rattles which was very irritating for the past couple of days. Finally traced it to the sun glass holder where my wife had forgotten the goggles . Phew the rattle like noise is gone for good.

Rub it in on the petrol owners I am just imagining the Rs/Km and still trying to justify that selecting T-jet over Multijet was a good idea. The feeling shall go away next time I sit in the car.

On the rattle, have you experienced any jarring noise from the OBD compartment lid? After the second service, I have started to experience a jarring noise from the lid every time I take the car over a bad surface. The SA says it's normal and happens with all Lineas.

This all in a packed city traffic? How do you get average speed? Is it from MID of the car ?

Blame the government for the stupid polices ensuring the price difference between petrol and diesel. Not to say that I am complaining about diesel.

No. The mileage quoted here is mixture of types of roads.

Average speed is taken from the MID of the car

re: Petrol Hatch to Diesel Sedan - Fiat Linea - Now Wolfed

Went out for a drive early today morning to check how wifey is doing with her training classes. Drove till Kamat near Chikkaballapur and back.

A customary pic from the drive.

Petrol Hatch to Diesel Sedan - Fiat Linea - Now Wolfed-20130303_071828-copy.jpg

The mileage from the very sedate drive. The Range was showing over a 1000 kms.

Wish this could be the mileage for every highway drive and wifey saying boring to drive (after she completely learns driving).
