Lights are very sturdy and do not vibrate even on bad roads or no roads.

And cant the clamps be welded to the frame rather than bolted. That would take care of any loosening occurring over a period of time.
I think its better to use bolts. I have been using similar set up on my swift since 2 years and driven through the worst possible roads and the bolts have held up pretty well. Welding if not done properly can be a source for corrosion to happen in due course of time. Moreover with the former, you have the option to remove the set up anytime If one needs to.

@Ecosportrules-Many thanks for the pics. The placement is quite apt-placed below the main headlights.I was toying with the idea of installing HID's inside them.

HID is a good idea.Make sure you install something below 5000k.
Will await your feedback

Fantastic!

That is an excellent modification Sirjee and very professional and neat!

Which wiring and relay have you used for the Hella's? Do these have any cover that can be put when not in use?

Any drop in power when the lights are used?

I did not get any covers, can you elaborate and please share some pictures.
Are they available separately?
Are they transparent?

These are available with the lights by default. These are not transparent. I always keep the lights covered when not required.

Thanks!
I checked with three sealed boxes before buying the Rallye 3003, none of them came with this cover.
All dealers said that the cover is an accessory for 3003.

Also the plastic cover on your car says 3000 and not 3003.
(May be indicating compatibility of the cover with all 3000 series lights)
Am I missing something?

Dont worry, even if you had them, it would get easily flicked, so you are not missing anything

I have seen many people cover the Hellas with a cloth of medium thickness. I think this is generally when they drive within city and i had read somewhere that there is a rule which says that these lights should be covered when the vehicle is being driven within city.

No idea how true as i had these Hellas without cover on my Gypsy and have never been stopped in Mumbai.

Cheers,
Raj

Nope, the 3003 comes with 3000 series covers from Hella. Maybe it's an add on. Its better to remove them while parking your car, thats what I do.

Hello Ranjith,

I wired them separately using a Philips harness with a cutout and switch.
Installed the switch on the removable pad below the steering column.

Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

I want to enquire from the ecosport owners and experts regarding the specifications of the DRL bulb in the fog light of the updated titanium plus. I can see there are two bulbs in the fog light, one is the H11 foglight bulb and the other is the DRL, whose specs i want to know. I want to change these to the white light ones, not the bluish but pure white. These act as only DRL's, and switch off, when you turn on the pilot lamps, or the headlights.
Also i have infinity components lying with me, which i had put in my earlier car dzire. Can these be put on the ecosport, how are the stock speakers connected to the wiring, will i need some adaptors, are these available at accessory shops, online.
Thanks.

1)Not sure about the DRL specification of new ecosport.
Easiest way is Check owners manual or pull out the bulb

2)Component speakers work well when connected to a suitable amplifier(check with your dealer if he would honour warranty if you do so).
Alternatively to start with, you could buy a pair of tweeters for the existing system(check my ownership thread for details)
