@EcoSport Rulez - Have you fitted that 215/60 R16 Yoko ? Can you share some pictures please ? Of the wheel arch, gap between the tyre and inner wall etc.

I am more interested in high profile tyre due to very bad road condition here. I have an Ambiente version and want something like 205/75 for my R15.

You do get 215/75 R15 in Yokohoma Geolanders ATS. Having used that in my previous 2 Gypsys, i can safely say that these tyres hold itself well.

Cheers,
Raj

Most clips fell off on the very next day. Apparently while cleaning. All these were not a snug fit so. So though i have the plastic pins, i have 1 metal clip missing. Found the others lying near the car. And i really don't think they add any benefit, whether you put them on or not (the metal clips). So i am just gonna have faith in the double sided tape and leave it like that. Need to plug those holes though.

So other who are going in for these visors can take note.

Cheers,
Raj

Thats bad

I used all the clips and pins which were provided and there was no problem.

Naah. The piece is good and stuck on well. Just that the clips are not great and i don't think there is a need. So am just letting it be. Just wanted to share it here for others to note.

Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

Today, I opened bonnet lid of my ecosport tdci and when I pulled the supporting rod out of its yellow holder the other end of rod (the one that stays connected to body and provides rotation) came out of its slot. I was puzzled how it happened. It does not have any washer or cap at the other end of rod that can keep it there in the lock. It just uses that rods L shaped mechnaism to keep it in place.
I simply slid it back and it seemed to work and it was able to hold the opened bonnet lid.

But the way I slid out of it without any deliberate effort surprised me. I saw in official review pics and there too I did not see any cap or washer on lock.

I'll share that experience. Same thing happened with me as well. However no big deal as once set, it stays in place and i do not open the bonnet frequently.

Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

Guys,

23 June 2013 was the day we got our ecosport home.
Its been 3 good years and we clocked 55000 kms with innumerable pleasant memories.
People still keep complementing me for maintaining it in prestine condition.

Hope it serves us well for the years to come.

Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm on my ownership thread

Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

Accessory Update:Bike/Cycle carrier

Got a "Thule 963 pro" bike rack from the USA.
This cycle rack is suitable for any car with a spare wheel on the boot.

*It can transport two bikes at a time.
*Rack lockable to car and bike lockable to rack, two locks get operated with a single key
*Folds down when not required
*Easy to remove and install the spare wheel cover (takes 5 mins)

Stay tuned for the installation procedure, will post some pictures meanwhile

Its come out beautifully in your car.

What did it cost you totally.
Helle 3003
Wiring/harness/relay
Clamps etc

I'm having a 2 month old Vitara Brezza ZDi+ dual tone & the lights are simply inadequate.
Would love to goin for a similar setup if it suits my budget

BTW, are you from Kerala, Kochi I guess,
I wouldn't mind dropping in to Kerala & get it installed from the same guy whom you went with

Hence total cost with breakup for the Hellas would be highly appreciated

Thank you, very useful light indeed , especially on the highways

Don't remember the cost exactly but all together it was around INR14000 to 15000
I used a Philips wiring harness and relay which included a fuse too.

I am from Hyderabad, ping me the next time you are here

I have installed the color display in ecosport. I bought the module from uk and connected to my vehicle. The module from euro vehicles are completely compatible. Actually I worked on development of these modules so having some knowledge.
