Nice tire choice. So, the stock ones lasted for 50k kms?

I guess the corbett trip was just a relieving trip after the exam fever :)

Short stretches to & fro on the Kosi banks, on boulders & sand. The original plan of visiting a fishing lodge up in the mountains that involved two deep rivercrossings had to be abandoned on the advice of our Host because the water level in the Ramganga was way too high (bonnet level of the Gypsy)

Congrats on crossing another milestone. Saar, the Geos feel a lot more planted than the Duelers (comparing when both were new). A slightly stiffer suspension will do wonders.

What's happening to me? I'm actually thinking of mods now?

thats nice to hear abt Geos but my safari has done only 37k,i am already feeling like changing to new tyres.

dada,please try some emergency braking at speeds above 120 whenever you get a chance and lets us know how they behave.Cos the duellers screech a lot and scares the hell out of everyone on the road.

I know I'm butting in here but
The Geolandars behave extremely well at the limit (160 kph on the Safari) and emergency braking is also much better than the Duelers. The Geolandars are tubeless.

In my opinion, it is better to run with the Duelers for a year or two, understand the truck behaviour under different circumstances and then switch to better tyres.

Yes they are tubeless. Had one emergency braking situation at around 100 before the Ghaziabad tax point when an idiot jumped across from the central verge with his cycle - no screeching heard.

Hey, feel free, no question of butting in - you are in the best position amongst all of us to comment on the Yokos vs Stones for the Safari ;)

Used to think pearl white is the best color for VX and EX, but yours and Steeroid's Safari have changed my mind. The SUV is looking v.desirable.

The old chrome grill adds a lot of appeal to the Arctic Silver color.

One of the nicest maintained Safari I have come across.

Suman, congrats on the 55555 mark. Its a pity the truck had to wait this long before you started taking it out to where it really belongs.

3.6k for a pair is ok. Gas shox for bike cost near 3k or so.
