Car was left on 09/09/09 for the new looks. I had promised Karthik I would be getting the skirrtings done before he fly to UK. I was supposed to leave the car in August but other commitments delayed it for a month. Told Yousaf I will be dropping in now and then when the work is on and he had no issue about that. Work was started immeditely after the car was left.

I had bought a Mugen replica front grill, but after researching, came to a conclusion fabrecating the stock one will give a better look. gave the Mugen grill and asked Yousaf to give the same looks for the stock one, Also I was very perticulat about the merging of the kit.

Yes the work is complete, with 2 coats of polish. We use the Glasurit paint, the quality is really good.

Where is this workshop in HSR?
I can navigate you, you need to take a right turn after the BDA complex in HSR and then take a left at SBI bank, go straight and at the end of the road take a right and 3rd left. I really don’t know what’s that place is called

Due to skirting’s installation I was asked to take off the Mud flaps, I should be more careful while washing the car and it has add up extra 30 minutes for my wash time. The final coat of polishing will be done by mid October. By then I should be able to get the OE fog lamps and a better mesh for the grill.

Had thought of this, but it’s overdone. In case I want to drive to office it will be like a fancydress car.

I wanted sometime simple, but should catch the attention of the passer by. So finalized to the below one. If I am blessed with some extra cash then I might go for the Type Z headlamps in a month (but that’s not necessary, I think)

I can hear Ajmat missing his car already

Hope you are planning an upgrade to 15 / 16 inch wheels; the body kit would necessiate that!

Well done Vinay . That kit suits the car and the colour to the T. Cant wait to see the finished job. Do try for the Type Z headlights. They would look really good and yes an alloy upgrade

Yes, I might upgrade the alloys once I get something really good under hood.

Right now my pocket is burnt into ashes, One of my package has just cleared the Mumbai Customs and are on way to Bangalore Customs.

To be frank I am not that happy with the mesh on the grill, so will be changing it shortly.

I need to change the glass paper of the car, I am looking for the once that come with Q7 (silver metallic) or the one that was on Toyota Fortuner test drive vehicle which was running in Bangalore. A decent Gun metal color.

Yes, Ajit was driving on stock alloys. I will be striking a deal for the alloys in some months.

It was time for renewing the insurance, got her insured for 5.5 L. Finally I have completed 5000 Kms since I bought her.
