It's NOT 10w-30 ! It's Mobil 1 - 0w-30. I guess that's the right grade oil. Sure MA$$ will know what they are using.

This has been discussed to death, first of all 0-30 is not the right grade, secondly Mobil 1 not the right brand for diesel engines. Its Mobil 1 Delvac which one needs to use if you really want to make use of the extended drain intervals.

If you use Mobil 1 you have stick with regular oil change intervals which makes it a very expensive option.

dilipkumar, why did they add synthetic oil w/o your consent - did you raise this with them ?

Also is that a EGR valve cleaning ( point 6 ) ?

Have anyone done 40k service recently @ Kochi? My DDiS is close to 40k and looking at other recent service cost updates I am mentally preparing to throw away 10k

Don't worry. It should not cost you more than 5-6 k if you do not go in for optional stuff. Just change all oils and all filters. Get the EGR valve cleaned.

How much did you pay for the 20k service ?

PS: Get the brake pads checked. Add about 1500 bucks if they need replacement

A normal service should cost anything below 6K.

They moved from SGP to MGP sometime back for brakepads and hence half the price.

Re: Swift Diesel, Saga continues. The DIESEL experience!Part II 55k kms Update Page 1

In that case, expect approx the same amount plus a thousand rupees for EGR.

Btw: I am sure the 5.5 for 20k also included some voluntary stuff. I remember mine costing about 4.2k (Feb 09)

Dude, I guess you are giving it to Indus. Why dont you try Popular near Lisie Hospital. They have some offers now. They are offering free checkup and topups at Kadavanthara Petrol station (the one on KK road). I couldnt give my car for the free checkup as I was busy. There were many cars at the station for the free checkup. Also, they are offering free wax polishing worth 600/-
Contact - Fahad 9605128827

Am planning to give my car (30000 service) at popular .

Yes. I stick to Indus as it is near to my office & home. How is the free wax polishing offered by Popular? Do you know anyone who have done it?
