Naveen, where did you get this estimate from. Which service station? Rates for Egr cleaning looks very low. indus quoted 3k for egr cleaning.

Brake pedal feels a bit stiff now and also stopping distance isnt great. SA told it will be fine after running the car for couple of days.

I got it serviced at Popular, near Lisie Hospital. This is my second visit there. I stopped Indus after my 25k kms service. Popular does a good job when compared to Indus. Also they does amazing polishing job free of cost (not like the usual "Just for the Sake" polishing job). They have some offers during every service. This time they are offering free car cleaning, washing and polishing after 3 months or 2.5k from the date of last service.

Yes, even I was a bit shocked when I saw this. Labor rates are high now and they say all these require lot of labor which is why labor charges are quite high.

Did they replace those parts or did they do some kind of check / servicing ?

I doubt those parts would cost only Rs 32.

Just happened to notice the roll bar mounting on the Swift. The roll bar is mounted on the subframe. So i guess replacing the bushes would require the sub frame to be removed which might explain the labor charges.

Drive on,
Shibu.

Re: Swift Diesel, Saga continues. The DIESEL experience! Part II 60k kms Update Page

Why Maruti Suggests using Mobil 1 on Swift Diesel? Its CF rated while the requirement for the swift diesel engine is CG4?

What is best synthetic oil available for swift diesel to have or more than CG4?

I am atpresent using Mobil Super 1000 15w40 in Maruti Service Stations and changing the oil every 5000 Km

Re: Swift Diesel, Saga continues. The DIESEL experience! Part II 60k kms Update Page

I seem to be having "good NVH days" and "bad NVH days", even on the same tankful of diesel.

Is it possible that something is wrong, or is it all in my mind ?

Maruti doesn't recommend any brand of engine oil they just recommend the CF rating and you are right they recommend CG4 or higher rating for Swift D.

The synthetic oil that meets /exceed this rating is Mobile Delvac 1. Mobile 1 is a petrol engine oil and not for Diesel engine.

That is not correct! Please check Mobil 1 website.

I've used Mobil 1 on my Ritz Vdi for about 26k kms and it did well!

Same here. I just attribute it to my car's quirky nature. I treat her with kid gloves on the bad days and it sometimes works!!
