That is a nice compliment. But their dog too?

Any plans for an upgrade to the new GV?
Not yet but interested if some on is able to finance this indulgence.

Hey Sudev, it was great to meet you in person. I really admire your drives and the courage to take the GV through the paths you have done till now and on NIOC meet.

@rhandle: It was fun to be out with all of you. Yes I know it was not ideal GV country but all the same testing out the limits is part of knowing what you or your car can / will handle. Emergencies are not the time to discover sad truths.

No picture, but ultimately it had to happen. Got rear ended by an overloaded Auto wallah.

Trike-terrorist - "Sir jee aap ne brake ekdum laga di"

What am I supposed to do? Run over the elderly man who choose to step off the kerb without checking?!!

Byestander - "Badi gaadi wale ki hi galti hogi"

Why this base assumption? Truck car - truck at fault. Though so many instances it is the impatient car driver who started the chain leading to fender bender.

Fortunately only damage is to bumper and rear tail lamp assembly.

Sunday last took the GV out for a bit of trail blazing. The purpose was to recce a route that will be used for an upcoming SUV Xploration being planned for SUV owners SUV Xplore | Facebook

The area is in back yard of Delhi-Gurgaon on the Aravalli hills. The hills had been used for mineral mining till the courts directed closure of the same few years back. They are covered with old tracks that were used by trucks and earth moving equipments.

Some pictures from the trail. Nice track inter-spread with rocks

Passing through thorny scrub. The thorns are sharp and have capability of devastating your tires.

Careful navigation needed in some places.

A wide enough path at the top but climb up was series of switch backs.

The car in the pictures ^^ doesn't look like it has done 1L kms. Well done. So how many more kms do you think this baby can do? Or rather how long do you plan to keep this offroader ?

Nice trails Sudev, but how many SUVs will have underbody protection like you do?

No this is on Gurgaon Sohna axis. The one you went exploring was used by us for the Rally of North few years back. Entering from college end out at Delhi border on shooting range.
