All GLX petrol version have 5.5j. Only the CRDi version is having 14" 5j rims.

Thanks friend.

I like the way you are running in your beast. I also broke the rules during the running in period of my Getz petrol, could manage only 150kmph with the power I have.

You have got awesome power at your disposal. Enjoy!!

Guys !!
While buying the CRDi i happen to have a word with one of the technical person @HMP Delhi appointed from Chennai factory, he clearly told me that no runing in is required in case of CRDi's but avoid red lining in every gear for the first 500kms.
While achieving 185kmph i had put 5th @ 70kmph and it was 5th all the way till 185.

Yes true . The alloys in the petrol version has 5.5J . The CRDi version has 5J . I got a mail from Hyundai to confirm this.

I want a getz now!
I had done 193Kmph in Brother's Verna Crdi SX ABS three weeks while going to Yelagiri.
I already posted in Top Speed Thread.
It's amazing to drivethe car and still the car has some more power to deliver.
I was not enough guts to do more.
The braking was very good.we can easily manage the car over 150Kmph.
I just had a drag race with SX4.Once i pressed the pedal.SX4 vanished from my ovrm.
Defn Sx4 owner would feel of buying the car.He repeatedly annoying me by overtaking in wrong side and did it like a maniac.
So i was forced to teach a lesson to him
He never do race with Verna again especailly with Crdi VGT.

Yes friend - it was during the Yelagiri drive - you guys did not leave me a choice.
The car is running without a single issue - mileage of 11 kmpl and super comfort and refinement, but i miss the power of CRDI.

My CRDi has given two extreme FE figures in the last two tank fulls.
17.6kmpl with consistent 120+kmph driving in 5th gear.
13.1kmpl when it had to crawl in 1st and 2nd gear in traffic jams.

After the first service the turbo whistle has become more prominent. Dunno why anyone??

You are right ... When i was travelling in the ghats with windows down , i could hear that whistle sound more clearly. But in the first service , they just make the general check up and nothing else and hence the bill is zero. Anyways , i like that whistle sound.

Ishaan dont really think it can be called as a problem because as far as the Getz is concerned the amount of torque being developed is more than enough for the weight it needs to push, thus resulting in the roll. Which infact IMO would be a good thing in bumper to bumper traffic because you just need to play with the clutch but that becomes a downside as well for the clutch and besides that its almost the same with all TC'ed cars which make a lot of torque and weight is lesser. Something that atleast i would love to live with. Add a PSI Chip and you can drive around Delhi when the car is idling, such is the traffic in Delhi nowadays.

PS: I guess with the number of Getz CRDis going up on the forum Ishaan it has surely motivated me to get hold of one and am sure you're probably on the verge of getting hands on one. Too bad KP already came up with the idea of the 1.1 badging and whipping a few guys with 10Lac plus sedans and big egos.

@KP Congrats on the buy.You and others are really helping a lot of people including me to get a review on the Getz before purchasing it. I have almost made up my mind and just sorting out finances.

BTW is there an option for all black interiors and an ABS version? Beige is really hard to maintain for a daily drive car plus i hate beige interiors.

@Ishaan what PCDs are the Getz wheels?

First Service Query

Guys am planning to get my Getz CRDI serviced soon as I have clocked nearly 1800Kms with no issues till now. Question is that I plan to go in for an Oil change apart from the regular check up they would do, So should I go ahead or finally get it changed at 10K Kms ?

Thanks.
