Hi,

45 litres is the fuel tank capacity. But if u add up what can be held till the fuel reaches the filler cap (upto the brim, i mean), it will be greater than the official capacity.

In my Logan, though the official capacity of the fuel tank is 50lts, i remember having upto 62 litres, filled upto the brim.

Hope this helps

The showroom guys told it already had around 3 liters, so adding upto 50L. Am guessing the fuel station guys have a tampered filling equipment!
I don't think thats possible. IMO maximum of 47 - 48 litres can go in when the tank is absolutely empty.

Come on! the pipe from tank to filler cap cannot take 12 litres of fuel unless the pipe is going circles around the chassis n then coming to the filler cap.

Maximum of 3-4 litres is possible IMO.

2nd service done : 10000kms update

On Tuesday, my Getz went in for the second service @ 9950 kms. Two days before giving it for service it had given me a FE of 17.3kmpl. I was really in no mood of giving it for service. Driver had gone to give the car @ HMP for service. He reached around 10:30am. Around 11am i get a call from supervisor asking if anything other than the normal service has to be done.

Supervisor: Goodmorning Sir !
Me : Goodmorning.
Supervisor : Are u facing any problem with the car?
Me: Yeah it doesn't cross 190kmph. Can u do something?:-)
Supervisor : What ?!!!?
Me : Hello .. U there? :-) Okay, i just want u to do the normal 2nd service. Don't mess around too much.
Supervisor : Ok sir ! Wheel balancing & rotation needs to be done.
Me : Why?
Supervisor : Sir its been 10k kms since the wheels have been rotated. It reduces the chances of uneven wear n tires will last for 60 k kms...
Supervisor : Thanks for the information.lol. I didn't know all this. But please do not touch wheels. Just get them cleaned.
Supervisor : But sir, ok sir ! I will try to get the car ready by 6pm !
Me : What do u mean by TRY ?
Supervisor : Sir, your driver was late and your car is number 52 in service queue.
Me : huh ! Don't worry i will take care of that .
Supervisor : What ?!
Me : Thanks bye take care of my rocket.

I get a call at 3pm . A female says Sir, I'm calling from HMP. Your car is ready for delivery. Total bill is 1798/-.
Took delivery of the car @ 5pm.

Engine oil PRM CRDi 5.3l - Rs 927 + 20% tax
Air Filter Rs 301
Oil Filter Rs 307

Wow. So the Getz CRDi is cheaper than the Swift D in maintenance. No small irritating niggles requiring some small parts change.

No, i don't think so. The petrol should be cheaper to maintain n costlier to run.
No niggles so far. <Touchwood>

On an average it gives 15kmpl only. Swift is better in terms of giving consistent 17kmpl.

Fastest cum quickest hatch to reach 10k at the least possible time at TBHP?

As mentioned in the other threads, my friend in haryana is really enjoying his Getz CRDi with 195 Yoko tyres , i'm really jealous of Getz CRDi guys. Only one thing is stopping me to buy Getz CRDi. i.e ABS. Else anyday i would had gone for Getz CRDi with 1.1L prime sticker over verna crdi. I had driven his getz in delhi too, its easy to drive and is more responsive than my elantra crdi in cities.

How come i had never seen your Getz CRDi on expressway? @ prajesh.

My friend is getting around 16 kmpl in cities, driving style = normal with no hard acceleration and car had done 2k km till yet.

now how did you arrive at that? at 10k swift d even with niggles is less than 2k INR

dude its free service only oil and consumables are charged. If you strictly follow the schedule swift d doesnt require air filter change also, i think getz also might not require and kp was just pampering?? Oil + filter is under 1k INR.
