re: FIAT-Ferrari in affordable trim - My Grande Punto 1.2 Emotion

Guys i made some editing in MSpaint just to see how my car will look if I paint them black similar to Abarth wheels.
Attached is the Picture of the present one and black painted.

Hemanth,
If you can get the wheels properly painted with the black pattern, im sure it will definitely look better than the stock ones.
You can also try to PS or MSpaint the whole wheel back with red lips that will also look kool i think .

Cheers

Nice mods there Hemanth. Love the Abarth look. I agree with Schoudhury. If the paint job can be done properly then go for it. Your car would be the whole package then.

The only thing remaining would be to get a T-Jet engine and plonk it under the hood !!

If only I could mount the Tjet

@shk8896,
My worry with the black roof is...Will it heat up the car more than at present.
My car stands in the sun most of the time.

Abarth logos should come to me next month in all probablities.

re: FIAT-Ferrari in affordable trim - My Grande Punto 1.2 Emotion

On the day when India took on SL(April2nd), after the SL innings, I was somewhat sad.
Not because Jayawardena Hit a century,
Not because the total was going to be tough for India.
But because I recieved a letter from the Bangalore Police for a violation :(
Yes, my car was fined for the first time for a traffic violation.

It was 30th march and it was my daily route to office and at the St.John's junction, the signal was green.
I was a bit late than normal and thought I'll pass the green signal and with no vehicles in front of me, I was relatively fast.
There was an autorickshaw behind me also trying to pass the green signal.
When i was almost near the junction, the signal turned red. I had to brake.
But I was afraid of getting rear ended by the auto and didn't brake hard and stopped after a considerable distance even though I could've stopped before the line.
This fear of getting rear ended was what attracted Rs 100/- fine.
Pictures of my violation attached below.

The letter from the Bangalore traffic police said that I have done a violation and aske me to check www.bangaloretrafficpolice.gov.in website for the fine details.
I checked the website and when I entered my vehicle number I was shown the details and I could pay the 100/- fine+ 2/- towards credit card online.
FIAT-Ferrari in affordable trim - My Grande Punto 1.2 Emotion-kor-water-tank.jpg
I paid the fine promptly thinking that I was better instead of spending money on car repairs if I had got hit by the auto.
I got a reciept online from Bangalore One when I paid online because they must be managing the payment gateway I believe.

Here, I must appreciate the speed of the traffic police.
I was on the wrong side this time and I had to pay up-no regrets.
Even the other 8 vehicles around me must have recieved the same kind of letter.
I was also impressed with the camera.

I wonder what would've happened to people who skipped the signal ahead of me? I think some 2 cars and 2 two-wheelers did that.

Am impressed!

I wonder how they would trace and send notices, for vehicles which are not registered in Karnataka!

Wow, thats really good work by blore traffic police.
Im sure if this is done or followed religiously @ all the signal it will really help the bad traffic situation .

Also, what if someone doesn't pay the fine, then what ? any idea guys .

Yes SHK, I will put the black grilles and also get the fog lamp holders blackened.
I'll only recieve the logos in my hand on May 1st.
So all the mods will happen together after that.

Hi Hemanth ,have you got those abarth logos?I am eagerly waiting for them. Some suggestions-Why dont you stick Carbon fibre vinyl on the ORVMs .Actually they will look better than the red ones. Also have you upgraded the stock ICE?Also don't forget some carbon fiber vinyl highlights in the interiors too and a very light P logo on the hood like vigneshram did. Here is a pic for reference.

Thankyou very much for your suggestions shk 8896.
The light "P" on the bonnet looks good i must say.
I'm not a fan of the carbon fibre sticker. I put the red mirror caps to give it the true look of abarth.
I have got the abarth logos and they are already installed on the car last saturday. I have now completely "ABARTHED" my car.
Will post photos soon...haven't got time.
OT: is it you who have sent me a FB friend request? I wanted to confirm before accepting.

Its now been 4 days after I have completed the exterior detailing. I'm just enjoying the stares I get wherever I go. I just can't hold myself from narrating one of the incidents.
I had been to a marriage on sunday and parked it at some distance from the entrance.
After sometime, I noticed 4 people around my car. They were going all around my car wondering which car it was.
The debadged rear, the abarth stripes, and the abarth logo confused them I believe.
After some time two guys stood besides my car and took snaps. I must say, it was a different feeling
