I guess because of the vinyl the damage to the paint might be less.
One of my friend got a similar kind of damage fixed @ Sai for his santro and he paid around 4.5k for the same .

I went to Sai colorium and they told that it'll cost atleast 5k since they have to paint the whole roof.
They told that they don't have cashless facility for my insurance(Bajaj Allianz).
And finally they told that they need 3 working days to complete the job.
I'm busy and hence I've postponed it for now since Its not too evident (thanks to the black stickering of the roof).

Today My car reached the next milestone.




22k was on 10th Feb and the next 1k took 49 days.
Today incidentally, my car is exactly 18 months old (From the delivery date).
1277.77kms per month and 42.6kms per day is not bad eh!
2 months to go for the 3rd service...
Second service was at 8 months and I had completed 15k
This time it'll be because of time(12months or 15k kmsfrom the previous service) since I would've hardly touched 25k by then.

3 weeks less than 20 Months after the purchase, My car reached 24k; A mark that I had expected to reach after 24 months.

Updates:

• The dent on the roof is still not repaired; Since its not visible so much, its not come up on the priority list. I plan to get it done during the 2yr/30k service.
• The sun films have been removed; A DIY done on 18th May 2012
• My car and I are itching for a long drive; Think this is the maximum number of days that my car has not hit the highway.
• The car is doing absolutely fine with no niggles whatsoever.
• I have moved into a new apartment and both my IB and I are happy that she has got a covered parking

Now I have a dilemma:
I had the 15k service done after 8 months of purchase. now the odo stands at 24500.
My thinking was that the next service has to be 12 months and 9.5k from the previous service.
This was till I saw the service manual where it mentions 24months from purchase/30k.
What should I do?

Since I last posted here, my car has been busy seeing a lot of her relatives.

25K SUMMIT REACHED!





On 17th June 2012, I had been to one of those usual "Short drives" of mine.
This drive was to Yelagiri, a hill station on Bengalooru-Chennai road.
While returning back, just as I got down the hills' curvy hair-pin bends which my car loves to hug and make ballet moves with, she had completed 25000 kms on the ODO.

25000 kms of pure joy. Its as though I've been driving a magic carpet for 600+ days.


The journey so far...

This was a highway drive after a long interval and I loved every moment of it.
While the onward journey was sedate driving, the return journey was fast as I had an appointment to keep up.
Whatever is the type of request from me, she obliged; as she has always been.

Looking forward to a lot more happy miles in the remaining 1-odd year which I'll spend with this beauty. Suspense!!!

Anyways, after she crossed 25k kms, I had to celebrate.
Though i had to reach home early, it was never too late for a few quick photographs.
Let them do the talking now, over to the pictures...
