If you see my earlier post, the Handbrake's problem was indeed with the loose bolt which had come off.
Now its "tik-tik-tik" - Just 3 clicks is all it takes to engage the handbrake.

After the 15k service, I've observed that the AC is performing amazingly well. it cools the cabin in no time and if I put the fan speed to even 2, it feels like I'm in Manali

The clucth has become nmuch harder after the serviice where the clutch slave cylinder assembly was replaced.
Can anyone suggest how to get the clutch softer and smoother??
Hi Hemanth,

Very sad to see the incompetent technicians at the TASS. The problem is, if you stay with them when they are working the car, they really give it a try to solve the problem. Else very little will be put in, the reason might be due to high number of cars at the TASS (read as indicas and indigo cabs).

Over a period of time this really gets irritating. Probably a business model has to come up where FIAT starts franchise for just the service centers meant only for FIAT cars. Till then this agony continues, else every service have a couple of days from office (not possible every time though)

The clutch bleeding might solve the hardness issue. After the replacement of CSC it should have been smooth. May be a case of TASS expertise.

One thing is that, every time you drive the car, these frustrations vanish in to thin air.

Cheers.

Are all the problems solved hemanth?
What was the actual problem with the immobiliser?

You've covered 15k pretty quick for a petrol car I must say.
Where is the car heading next?

As suggested by BHPian vidyasagar, it must have been the problem with the immobiliser atenna positioning.
After the removal and assembly of the immobiliser, The problem has not resurfaced till today.
Thanks vidyasagar.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that this is the end of it.

Planning is underway for a trip of 2000+ kms somewhere in August.
20000 kms will be clocked within the completion of one year I feel

Finally Finally .the problem with your IB - Punto has been resolve .this calls for a party.
And you are saying 20K in one year. I was just calculating the amount of fuel you would have spent by then and its crossing 1L.

No match for you and your Driving.Keep Going.

Note from Support: Please do NOT post....like.....this. Thanks

@ pumpy_raj,
Now the car is absolutely a dream to drive.
I always ignore the cost I've spent on fuel otherwise I can't enjoy the car.

Ok...Its almost nine months since I bought my IB
She has undergone a lot of makeovers.
I'm attaching a few before and after photos as a celebration of her crossing 250days
Let the pictures do the talking now....

Thanks guys,

@raj_5004, you deserve some credit for my car's present look. Thanks.

By the way, I have set a new record with my car this month.
Compared to the 14900 in the first 7.5 months, my IB has run only 900kms in the last month. pretty less isn't it

My calculation while buying a petrol was that I'll only achieve the mileage of approx. 45k, which is the breakeven point for the cost of Petrol Vs Diesel, in 4 years.
Though a long way to go, this slowdown in my running(expected to continue in the coming months as well), will take me there I feel.

Let me see if my calculation wins or the car's ability to seduce me into driving her more wins

In the economical sense, I wish you win. As a motorhead I wish the latter wins by seducing to drive her more.

looks very good - before and after with a very small itch at the back - the chrome exhaust tip. But then it is just me.

i read in the Punto tyres thread, that you patched up one of the ES100s - is that a good idea? get it changed soon. take care

Enjoy the car. drive safe.

Thankyou very much.

, Patching a tyre is not a great idea but then there are other constraints.
You see, managing two ladies at a time is very difficult. Investing on one will make the other jealous
This is the reason I'm planning the 5th tyre a bit later when I have some drives planned.

i hope that none of them likes to get drunk all the time.

You have two ladies to maintain and i have to take care of three. Two of them drinks so much that they can put me to shame. on top of that the third one gets mad if i donot let the other two drink more than their quota for the month. So i am sailing in a similar boat, although a bit bigger

Take care.

Looks great. But the twin exhaust spoils the look of the rear. Please remove it

re: FIAT-Ferrari in affordable trim - My Grande Punto 1.2 Emotion

some moron has hit my IB when I had parked her yesterday (I don't even remember where exactly this happened)
This is the first "visible" scratches. The left ORVM cover and both doors have scratches.

PS: Ignore the two black spots...those were dust paticles on my mobile lens cover.
