Here are the photos of the last weekend's short drive
This marriage season is demanding a lot out of my IB and as you all know, she never says no to me
Had been to Chitradurga to attend a wedding.
202kms up and down.
More importantly to attend another wedding reception in Bangalore.
This 404kms journey was from 07:00 to 14:00 on a drizzling Sunday
I had decided to skip this trip but my friend who was to be married on sunday called me up and ordered me to come.
On sunday, 06:00, I got up. I decided to attend the event.
woke up my wife and got ready by 07:00.
by 07:15 we three(My wife, My IB and I) had left home.
Nayandahalli was empty luckily and we were soon on the Tumkur road via the ORR.
7:30 we took the toll of 25Rs two way toll...it was just one of the 6 toll fees we paid. All were two way tickets except one.
225Rs in total for the whole journey.
It took me exactly 2 hours to cover the 202kms and at 09:45 we were at the function hall.
Since I wanted to reach between 09:30 and 10:00, I drove fast. At times I touched 140kmph and once even reached 160kmph
I got a FE of 14.5kmpl on the MID and an average speed of 75kmph
Since I decided late, I hadn't filled petrol and I had only half-tank of fuel for the onward journey.
After attending the event, I got some 2k fuel filled which gave me around 90% of the tank full of fuel.
We left at 11:30 and this time decided to test for max FE.
I never crossed 100kmph on my return journey.
I reached back at 14:15
Believe me, I got 16.1kmpl on the MID and more importantly 70kmph average speed.
Overall FE was 15.4kmpl and a lesson that too much of speed will not increase the average distance covered or the average speed by a huge margin.
Now the pictures...tried a blue filter on the first one...comments welcome.
