Got my tank filled from Delhi and got another bummer of fuel price hike. Never the less, I got 42 litres filled for about INR 2900 or something!

We were back in Delhi and 1/4 of the fuel is still there. I considered 32 litres of fuel consumed and the FE came down to be - 17.1 kmpl... God bless Honda for creating vtecs!
Coming back to the Ownership Threads section of Team-BHP after quite some time and the first thing I see are some beautiful snaps of your shark. Nice pics.

And I am not too surprised to see those lovely figures, now that I know the Shark would be driven oh-so-carefully to avoid damaging those rims. Then again, as you said, 'VTEC' is truly magical. Good mid-range and top-end grunt coupled with awesome mileage, what a combination to have and enjoy!

re: My Grey Shark: Honda Civic V-MT. 134,000+ kms crunched & counting!

Went through the entire thread over the past two days. Halfway through the thread, I thought you wouldnt want to change your alloys, hence was going to suggest you to add red (paint or sticker that one uses on the Ninja tyres) color on the circumference of your existing black painted alloys. But now you got alloys which already has it.

Your shark is looking great the way it is. If you are insisting yourself on getting a color done from Red and Blue, I would recommend going for the red. Sharks are supposed to be fiery (red) and not cool (blue)

Moreover, off topic, if you want to see how colors would be on your civic, try out a NFS game and customize the civic in it to look like yours, play around with the paint and you can get a fair idea of what you would want yours to be. The graphics are almost photorealistic.

Haha... Thanks Arvi. Fuel efficiency is not my concern at all. Low or high, I am okay with it. I have almost decided what my next upgrade will be down the line when I am bored with Civic. An Audi A4 3.2 FSI.

Don't expect it happening very soon though.

Thanks raVan and apologies for the late reply. Yep, I was keen to keep the stock alloys since I was thinking to share the car with my family and their comfort was my first priority. However, over the months I realized my car to be with me most of the time. Hence the 17" alloys... oh and BTW, I am paying through my nose for these alloys.

Last weekend, I was returning from Hisar (Haryana) late night and happened to encounter a nasty and unmarked speed breaker. I was doing around 85 kph and in my fear of damaging the alloys or tyres, I had to break hard. Car slowed down in time but due to becoming front heavy under heavy breaking, front bumper hit the speed breaker big time.

Result: Shattered front body kit!

Since I breaked hard, a biker who was kinda tail gating me hit the car from behind. In his attampt to avoid hitting the car, he took the bike slight sideways, his tyre hit the bumper while his handle and front break lever hit the trunk and the rear spoiler!

Result: Mis-aligned rear bumber, one 8 cm dent on trunk crease and helf broken rear spoiler.

Damn this unseen expenditure... I really hate when such things happen. I am in no mood to spend more money on cosmatics of this car, so have taken off the front body kit and have placed a black tape on the exposed part of broken spoiler. Dent is not that large in size, so I can live with it.

May be later on, I will take off the spoiler all together, will get the drilled holes in the trunk filled, repainted and will put on a lip spoiler. May be, may be not!

Anyway, Lets get back to good things. The Shark has crossed 54,000 kms recently and is munching the miles like anything. The more I drive her, the more I fall in love with her.

I noticed a few days back the coolent level was a bit low, bought a Delphi bottle and topped it up myself. The K&N also needed a cleaning and was done at home as well.

Today, I was talking to fellow BHPian Gaurav_Chopra about it that even though in recent 7-8 months, I have driven some really great machines including Audis, Beemers, Porsches and Ferraries; every time I come back and drive my Civic, it brings that ear to ear smile on my face. It is a bloody good car, period.

I and Anshuman did a photoshoot of our cars couple of days back and I will share those pics in a min. Will be a nice remembrance for my car's front body kit.

Rest, everything is Swell.......

It is always mesmerizing to see your car after an interval. The pic below was clicked after getting back from an abroad trip. The Shark getting warmed up...

It better happen soon or it will never happen Audi has replaced the 3.2 for a 3.0t. So its no longer naturally aspirated. Maybe a pre-owned one then?

A quick look at Alloys on both the cars...

Love the stock alloy design on this Skoda! Yoko A Drives look quite good and chunky!

We went for a short drive after the photoshoot. I was impressed with Laura's composition under hard braking while Anshuman commented that my car is heavily overtyred since there was no body roll!

We also did some acceleration tests and the Laura kicked my car's *** everytime!

Why? Well... 10 more horses, almost double number of Torques and that impressively quick DSG gear shifts!

It was fun and I guess the hunger for more power has started craving... Haha.

No way I am spending 50 big ones on A4 3.2!!! My boss has one and it is immaculate in condition. I am eyeing on his car.

Nice Pics Ace (taken on Gurgaon-Faridabad road I guess?). Shark looks cool and fresh as usual.

One query - Do you drive on Faridabad-Gurgaon Road often as I have noticed a Civic on the route couple of times with same alloy as yours. Didn't noticed Reg number and LTD sticker though.

Yep, these pics are taken on Gurgaon-Faridabad road. I am rarely on that side of the city, however I know what are you talking about.

There is a similer looking car in Gurgaon!

Same color, smoked tail lights and 17" (?) chromish wheels. Have seen the car many times lately in Delhi as well as in Gurgaon. In fact the day we clicked the pics, I and Anshuman saw the car ourselves. I laughed and overtook the guy, he was so embarassed that he took an immediate u-turn!

Really sad to hear about dents and bump. When are you planning to repair it?

Thanks raVan! At this point of time, I am in no mood to spend money on her cosmatics at all. Would like to save a few bucks for a performance bump first! And as you could see in pics from Gaurav Chopra's thread, the car looks pretty unchanged at first and the damages go un-noticed to an layman eye.
