how come low profile tyres lead to brake failure? i taught it would increase the brakeing and handling.

You seem awfully certain.

I know a few blokes running a similar profile on their Polo's for the last couple of years & I'm pretty sure their vehicles have stopped when the brakes have been applied :D

Regarding the ABS pump issue, I've heard stories of that failing even with wider 15" tires.

I guess we've gotta risk it to get the biscuit :D

Hi

Could you explain what you mean by this statement?

Why would the brakes fail if the tyres are low profile?! And how is it related to ABS pump?

Regards

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how low profile tyres affect the car's braking ability? Unless you meant to say that tread-life in low profile tyres isn't much resulting in tyre wear thereby increasing braking distances.

I understand that 45 profile tyres may be a bad idea as the ride would get harsher and the rim is prone to being damaged but "guaranteed brake failure"? How?

And where does the 'ABS pump' go? :D

I think what prithwi means is that 40 profile would be the right upsize, and 45 makes the overall diameter too large. Now that is not good for the ABS sytem but I don't see anything failing too quick.

Whatalooker this M3. OMG!!

neon blue would be nice. Just to add my two cents worth....in my opinion nothing goes better with a silver car than black rims....maybe with a chrome lip.

Hi all, A decently done White BMW 530d with M body kit and carbon fibre bonnet, lip spoiler, roof spoiler and a rear diffuser. Looks good to me!!
