Yesterday i went 2 my tyre walla.

He said its not a good idea to go in for spacers in Santro for the looks sake.

Instead he showed me few alloys which were offset/negative design.

He said after putting these kind of alloys the looks will enchance & there wud b no change in the stability of the car.

Need comments of others

Car Battery needs to be replaced.

My dads been using my car for the last few weeks as I was out of town and he said the battery seems weak. It gave away and had to be pushed to started so we are planning on installing a new one as I am also planning to install new speakers, amps and a single sub so there will be a considerably increased load on the battery/alternator.

With my sort of ICE I dont think I will need the Optima yellow top line and besides my dad wont agree to spending that much on a battery for my gaadi...

Details regarding other inexpensive but worthy battery replacements (exide, amaron, SF etc) will be much appreciated.. Also costs and model number would be of great help.

Thanks
p.s : car - santro zipdrive 1.1

A very good post that I will be checking again and again

I have also got a Santro Xing and had exactly the same queries about my car

I had like to know more about the taller options for the suspensions at both the front and the rear, and the best possible K & N filter that will got with the Xing

Even about the tires I have planned to go in for 185/60/14 for which I have to get a bigger wheel as well, please suggest

prince1981 : i dont think u can fit 185/60/14 on a santro without modifications. For a 14" rim the correct tyre profile would be around 50-55 to avoid scrapping the arches.

I put in a new amaron batteyr today as the Red / Yellow top was way out of my budget and also the guy at the showroom said the Optima he stocks cannot be fitted into the santro without some mods (wiring/electrical?).

Ajay yaar did that "SS" santro have body kits with Twin Exhausts ?? coz i had seen a Xing totally modded it was black in color with front, side and rear skirts on DND long back it had Twin exhausts too plus decals et all...

Souljah: The amaron battery dealer said something similar to me that optima's produce higher amperage than required for a santro Plus they cost a bomb @ 9K for a yellow top

Thats I tough ask I know and its also difficult to get 50-55s , if anybody knows where I will be glad.

I checked the Tire size calculator and 185/60/14 vs the stock is only 5% so thats close to the 3% limit

I am also looking for a Conical K & N filter if anybody can tell me the price

try methodsonline.com or pm viper.

If I am right, all you need to change are just 3 wires when you change to a battery if high amp.
