For Piano black you can stick with PPF or Gloss black Vinyl. CF Wraps look horrible over time and doesnt go well with the sort of quality the rest of the panel offers.

Looking to wrap my 8 year old Honda city in Chennai. It's my first time doing this so I am hoping someone can help me with the following:

1) some good places where I can get this done.
2) what would be the avg cost of wrapping the whole car
3) I'm looking to change the colour from silver (original) to black. Would I need to make any changes in the car's documentation? If so, please shed some light into it.

P.s: I'd also be looking to do this for my new Nexon ev which will be coming in a few months time. I would also love to hear the forums thoughts on wrapping new cars

Depends on material and colour. What exactly are you planning to do?

Recently did the roof of my Slavia with 3M gloss black vinyl and PPF on top.

Wrapped my CSUV in a custom two tone roof wrap.
Costed 9500 since it was custom made and not the regular cut and paste vinyl. Side mirrors, A pillar and a part of the hood is also wrapped.

Question - That pattern and the logo were custom printed to your cars roof size? What was the material brand and print? After print was it laminated?

The pattern and logo were custom printed to the size yes, took about a week to be printed after placing the order and an entire day to be installed. It is a 3M brand film, no it wasn’t laminated. Have had people stop me in the middle of the road, some to give compliments and others to enquire about the cost and where did I get it installed from. Sharing below the final pic which the detailer shared, I loved it at first look and just went ahead with it, although I opted out of wrapping the door handles. The guys were very professional and answered all my queries patiently.

I too thought it might be IDE Gurgaon and even called them up, surprisingly they said that nowadays they are only taking up full body wrap jobs and some of the older jobs if they have ready inventory.
Numbers and contact details can be put in forum for benefit of everybody as there are threads on directory of local shop and garages. Price and others things could be subjective as they are not timeless and can mislead in long run.

Hi, I'm not a huge fan of chrome. I am considering dechroming the front grill and the rear garnish to matte black or gray. Would it be a good idea to vinyl wrap instead?
