I guess this was featured here sometime last year in the Thar modification section. It looks hideous. I think the owner is a BHPian.

Spotted this innova last week. The work was neat, but it did seem weird. Notice the foot rest too.

I actually liked the work done on the rear parts, the bumper somewhat the tail cluster.
If he had kept the side profile cleaner without the weird bulges and footrest, the overall scheme would have come over to the tastefully modded section

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

It is actually a good mod , Look carefully and try to understand.
(1) He has fitted a snorkle so the objective is to build a jeep capable of water fording.

(2) There is a power winch on the bumper , So bumper reinforced to be strong enough to pull out jeep stuck in mud.

(4) Front differential is not visible but since there is a winch and snorkle it is assumed that it should be 4X4 else owner would not invest so much.

(5) 7J alloys and wide tyres for better grip ( and looks ) and once tyres are out of mudguard you need protection so that water and mud is not thrown at occupants so extra wide mudguards.

Don't see know why it is catagorized as weird and why this extreme reaction ?

I would buy if I have extra moolah , space to park and time to indulge in off-roading + engine condition is good.

It is quite possible that the driver of this Swift is transporting a pedestal fan by keeping it on the floor on passenger side.

Doesn't look like mod. I think it is a pedestal fan being transported. Maybe it did not fit in the boot, hence had to be accomodated in the front.

Extra parking space and free time to indulge in offroading is a problem.

I was thinking seriously of Thar as a second vehicle to my Safari but then better sense prevailed and now utilizing the funds to buy Amaze VX MT delievery should be some time in May.
And personally I do not belive in taking loan for funding depriciating assets.
