Didnt have any idea about it being an OEM stuff. Though seeing many such cars had a doubt in my mind that it could be accesories offered by maruti.

I am quite sure that hatch door will start rattling or might be already rattling inside due to the stepny weight, while modding people forget that the parts are not sometimes made by the manufacturer to hold weight over a particular threshold.

There is a garage installing CNG kits near my place. There I have seen him mounting the spare wheel SUV style... Swift, i10, Indica, Maruti 800. And the cars start looking like tiny RAV4 replicas.

It indeed looks sourced from chevy beat. I wonder whats the purpose of such modifications. You are reducing the cabin space, your cargo is out in the open. One advantage would be the AC being more effective
