Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

I do have contact details of the authorised dealer for OPTI COAT in South India and did enquire with him about the prices and all.
My current bottle of Ech02 is still 75% full to waiting for it to finish.
In general, does Opti coat no-rinse also impart any shine post-cleaning or is it completely a cleaning agent?

@Sridhar K Appreciate your kind words.

I also find ProklearCX and WFC an equivalent and competent product as compared to others with half the price.
Since you have the foam cannon you can use WFC to its full potential.
Since you have the CX version as well that combined with WFC will impart cleaning and protection both.
Please do share pics when you use it with the cannon and pressure washer.

Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

I used wavex shampoo and an empty muc-off container to create foam and it worked really well. The mix-off container did the trick it is not very hard to press and quite doable. Mixed 1 part shampoo and 5 parts water.

You could get a new muc-off bottle which is quite expensive or if you know any good imported cycle shop you can get an empty bottle for free. But this is less expensive than getting a pressure pump based system.

Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

I was looking for a standalone Manual Foam Sprayer and unfortunately none of the Indian websites has them stocked.
I had to take a look at Ali Express and found this product.
Looks promising and the price though on the higher side is still cheaper than the Ik1.5 Litre ones.
Will place an order in next 2 days and will post the review .
Additionally if someone on the forum knows where to buy one of them please do share
The reason why I am inclined to use this product is because it does a pretty good job in cleaning the wheel wells as foam can reach areas where the brush cannot.
For me that is more than enough of a reason to use the foaming technique.

Unfortunately its not available for shipping to India :-(
I will try my luck with the existing setup for now and lets hope the Ali Express Order is worth the gamble.

You can order either from Amazon or from bums on saddle website. They do ship in India.

Found this in DMART Coimbatore. However not sure whether foam will come out of it.

Its a regular Sprayer with regular Nozzle.
There are Youtube videos on how to convert this sprayer to produce foam however I have not tried it yet.
The only thing what we need is the foaming nozzle to be attached in front of the sprayer and we have the desired results.
Unfortunately I cant find any website where the nozzle alone is available except with Proklear WFC where the nozzle comes bundled.

Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

Thanks to this thread I ended up doing a DIY and did get a decent results. Not great, because the foaming through the nozzle is still a hit or a Miss! At times there's very little or no foam or too much foam that the foam falls off.
I Used 15ml in 1.5L of water. If you get the nozzle it's ok. The DIY nozzle (inserting the Scotch bright in nozzle) never gave me a good result ever.

Glad you liked the thread.
The results are decent at the price point it offers.
I have observed that if you pump it to the max or minimum the foam generated is not satisfactory.
Additionally wanted to confirm if you have punctured the main pipe in the sprayer to ensure it works as expected.
I haven't mentioned that point in the initial post so asked
Word of Caution the nozzle might crack if you apply too much pressure while mounting it on the sprayer. So take good care.
Mine broke so ordered another one.

Yup, infact I have made 2 holes towards the top! Hope I'm not screwing up the behaviour due to this!

But there was sap/some sort of a dropping on one area which was dried up and hard, I foamed it up and wiped it off after 5 minutes. Guess what, it did not even feel that there was anything on that surface. It just came off with a single wipe!

Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

Has anyone tried the Kwazar Venus FOAMER Super Pro 2.0 L ( 3- In- 1 )? It seems like a very good product and comes with Viton seals and also seems to have a sturdy build. I'm planning to get one.
Also seems like all it's spares are available in India, so just in case if anything goes wrong in future, I'll be covered!

Though I'm confused whether I should buy this or some pump sprayer along with a nozzle will be enough! I don't have a pressure washer so i need to clean the wheel wells with this too(just for spraying the shampoo into the wheel wells).

Even I am planning to buy the same and went through a couple of reviews online as well. I didn't find any reviews for this product on this forum though.
The price is on the higher side but still better than getting a pressure washer. From where are you planning to buy it? Autofresh or any other website?
A regular sprayer won't be able to produce any foam so no fun in buying that. After using the WFC foamer I found the foaming is effective in cleaning the wheel wells.

Re: The poor man's foam maker : Proklear WFC (waterless foam wash concentrate)

I ordered below garden sprayer from Amazon for INR 359 including shipping. I did not want to remove nozzle ; hence did some "Jugaad" as shown in one of the YouTube videos.
I bought 5 ml Syringe from medical store, removed the plunger , stuffed "scrotch brite" scrubber and metallic scrubber in same and put it on the nozzle.

It doesn't look neat but serves the purpose and creates enough foam.
