Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

Your Punto looks great man, probably the best I've seen in the country! Just one question, why the Abarth logo up front?

Hi Nimish, Can you please explain to me how you have done the DRL setup. Does the current setup give you any errors on the MID?

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

The DRL was fitted on the lower lip front spoiler that was designed. It has been directly connected to the ignition where it gets on as soon as the engine is switched on. ECU does not read any error codes so far. Was done by a professional installer who has a good knowledge with the canbus circuit used in FIAT.

Closer pictures of the design will give an idea where it has been installed.

The drl used is
Philips - Mobility - LED Daylight8 12824 WLED 12V

Hi Nimish, very good steed you got there! Looks really good

One question- Don't the LEDs switch off when the parking lights are turned on? Or do you have a seperate switch to control them? AFAIK, Philips DRLs are supposed to switch off (or dim in the case of 8 LED version) when the parking lights are switched on. Correct me if I'm wrong

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

They dont have a separate switch for controls. The LED gets on as soon as the ignition is on and switches off after a few seconds when the ignition is off.

My punto Absolute mods

Hi mates,

This is my thread to mod my white GP 9HP emotion PK. I need your feedback and hope this is going to be of some help to others and a long thread

Many of the thoughts and ideas I got are from various forums.

I got a OE spoiler from Vecto motors (KHT did not have stock and they told it comes only with the sports kit) for Rs 4990 and on the way I got it wrapped with 3M carbon fiber at 3M car care HSR layout.

I have fixed Hertz DSK 165 speakers in the front doors and done damping all myself, I will write about it with picture in a while.

I am planning to change the front profile and need your feedback. I have edited a punto image from google to show you my thoughts.

Paint the front grills black
black matte vinyl at the bottom and wrap fog lamp surrounding with black.

Let me know how does it look.
