Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

The debadged rear looks fantastic. Its so much cleaner now. Also, have you slightly smoked the tail-lamps?
The Abarth pinstripes & matched rear mirror give it a different look as well.
id suggest painting the alloys to complete the abarth look. Probably black & leaving the red Fiat logos in the center as they are.

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

Thanks Xehaust,
The rear is much more beautiful now I felt.
The tail lamps have been pasted with sunfilms to give that "smoked" effect.
To complete the abarth look, I have plans to get the black spoiler, chrome exhaust tip and the abarth logos and stickers.

The wheels..I'm not sure if painting them will give the same effest as those nice abarth alloys.
I was planning to first experiment with black stickers on the wheels and then if it looks nice will go for painting.
Also I'll get the brake calipers painted red.

Any of you have any Idea if we get red barke caliper caps instead of painting them red??

Looks great
IMO you should paint the front grill and front fog light surrounding in black. Red calipers, chrome exhaust tip, smoked tail lamps, darker alloys and Abarth logos, looks like we are going to see the first made in India Fiat Grande Punto Abarth

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

Personally I find that design odd in such a small size. In 17" it would look great.

Why not make them dark grey/gunmetal something like this -

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

@ hemanth.anand - Sweet! I had initially booked my Punto in white with the sole intention of giving it the Abarth look. Later I changed my mind and booked the black, will be giving it the Abarth treatment soon, at least visually. Can you tell me where you got the stickering done in Bangalore and how much it cost you?

Yes I was also not very convinced about the painting of the 15" wheels.
That's why I wanted to take suggestions.
As of now I've decided to get stickering done on the wheels.
If the look satisfies me, I'll go for painting. If not I'll retain the original look.

I got the stickering done in a small JC road shop.
I had taken colour printouts of the Abarth-Pictures from all angles.
Looking at that he did it. It took 5hrs in total. So you'll have to spare a day for this.
I think for the black Abarth, The mirror caps stays black. Only the red stripes is what you'll have to do.
Below is the link from GMaps where you can get the location

Also is th epicture of the exact location(Green arrow)

@ vigneshram - very unique looking Punto there. Nice.

@ hemanth.anand - Thanks for the info. The shop might be a little difficult to find! Could you share the details of how much you totally paid for it?
