For the mesh grill is quoting Rs 4500 which is ridiculous.
The same thing I saw when I had plans of upgrading my tail lights. Only brake lights are LED and 18k is too much for this. A bhpian shipped full LED lights from Japan for around 18k couple of years back. But i know price has gone up but check for full LED type. And as for the grill, is it a custom fitment or a kit? 4500k is ridiculous as you said. Try to include the air dam also. I got that done too.

OK. I will let the dealer know that the price isnt correct. What should be a good price ?

It is a custom job, yes it for the entire front grill and air dam. Grill costs few hundreds may be upto 1K. The labor should be 1K ?

Also, I have attached different models of these tail lights in this same thread. Try searching for them. I paid around 1.5k for both grills including labor and painting but that was in 2008. Cant blame if the prices are up now but no chance 4.5k for this. Negotiate with them.

I have just taken delivery of my new swift ZXI. I plan to change my headlight and taillight assembly to a smoked one, probably on lines of the new swift sport. Can anybody suggest me an online store or any shop in Chennai where I can get this done.

The timing couldn't be better.

Either you can paint the headlight bezel yourself. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...uti-swift.html

Or you can wait for the face-lifted Dzire to be launched and get the OEM headlights from MASS. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...mouflaged.html

There is a good chance that the Swift could also get the smoked headlights in the imminent face-lift.

Re: Swift Mods : Post all queries / pics of Swift Modifications here.

I was also thinking on similar lines. The lust for more power is an undying spirit for us petrol heads. What exactly can be done to extract more juice out of a petrol swift. I have read about CAI and FFE, but the performance gains seems to be marginal. Is there a solid full proof way of bumping up the power. Are remaps the only option. If so who are the established players for petrol remaps. Tune o tronics?? spitfire??

Howz HAWK pads? Where did you manage to source this from? Cost please.

Since you mentioned spark plugs, I believe it's a petrol?

Petes???!! Else, please try to call guys in Chennai / Bangy. They might even come down and do it. Or nothing better than a weekend drive to both these metros. How else could you enjoy an awesome (return) drive with a new map?!

All sourced from N1. Nice guys. HAWK seems good but who knows unless you really try testing it out which i have not. It was around 7k for the pair.

And yes its a 1.3L petrol

Not sure if pete's does remapping for petrol cars. Yea closest is Coimbatore and not finding the time to go :(

Re: Swift Mods : Post all queries / pics of Swift Modifications here.

Thats a nicely done Swift. Looks like a curved rear glass. Or is it made up of some high quality material to give that 3D effect. Doesn't look like a sun fil though. Is anyone aware about the film solution sprayed on the glasses in the light of the ban on sun films?

Re: Swift Mods : Post all queries / pics of Swift Modifications here.

Did anyone try retro-fitting a height adjustable driver seat from Z variant in a lower variant? Any idea about the approx. cost involved?

I assume it should be one of the few Z-variant features that can be fitted in lower variant directly.

Hey guys. I just got a 2012 Swift Vxi with the K12 engine. Huge change from my m16a powered swift sport but not too bad. I want to upgrade my plugs and air filter. Can anyone tell me the k&n part no. And if the right upgrade plugs would be NGK IKR6G11? Also what's the best oil to
Use ? Synthetic right?
