Hi Guys
Does any of you know where can one buy a car vacuum cleaner in Delhi? Are there any big and reputed auto accessory shops in or around?

I normally use the heavy duty home vacuum cleaner (boy, it's been a while!) to clean up, but the wiring and the lugging around can be a nuisance.

It does make sense to have a good portable handy as well. I'd check eBay and Indiatimes shopping to begin with and visit the local car accessories store as well to find one. The Black & Decker cordless vacuum cleaner is a nifty tool - try to find something like it.

The small portable vaccum cleaners are good only for a cursory, on the surface sort of cleaning. They are a handy tool to have lying around to do a quick 'sweep' of the interiors.

However, only a powerful machine will be capable of really doing justice by removing the small grains of sand embedded in carpets and the dust in the carpets/upholstery.

So I guess the ideal answer is, use both!

I guess Ritik is talking about a domestic Vacuum cleaner rather that the portable one commonly used for car interior cleaning...

I too use a B&D model picked from abroad a long while back. I remember seeing a few pieces in Europe recently costing 40-50 Euros with 20 minutes battery autonomy.

Saw a few car vacuum brands on shopping.rediff.com. Saw the black & decker too

car vacuum , Car Vacuum Cleaner With High Power Supply gifts in india at rediff shopping

Are all such car cleaners equally bad on performance??

Its a pain to carry a big vaccum cleaner all around the car..
