| ![]() So which one can i use for the DDiS now? CI or CG? As far as i know, CI may not be a problem to use in CG rated. So can i change to Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40/API CI-4? |

| ![]() How good is Shell helix Super 15W-40? Is it a mineral oil or semisynthetic? The sales person at shell pump is saying that this oil can be used around 12000KM inteasd of normal 10K. I am thinking to use this oil for WagonR which is completing 20000 Kms. My use is 70% highway. I am also thinking to use engine oil additive from OWS with oil change. Please let me know is any other oil is suggested. Last edited by shabahmad : 16th July 2009 at 18:34. |

| ![]() I think its best to stick to your vehicle's OEM filter and switch to the synthetic oil. Also, I don't think Mobil 1's performance oil filters are available for all brands of cars. Would be great if someone would throw some light on this. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Castrol Edge turbodiesel is API-CI4 and exceeds the required specification of your car. You can go for it. Cost for 4 liters should be around 2000rs |

| ![]() Hello all, This is a MAYDAY x 3 for information. Have given my Palio Stile 1.6 for fourth service. Done close to 17k on the clock. Planning to change over to fully synthetic engine oil. Request all "oil raja's" to provide some insight on the best brand available in India. I have looked and found Mobil1 (5W-50), Shell Helix Ultra (5W-40) and Castrol Magnatec (10W-40). Are these suitable to my car at all? Please respond asap. Gotta hand deliver the goods to the service station by 15:00 hrs today. Thanks Last edited by Jaggu : 17th July 2009 at 11:52. | ![]() Exactly SF was the basic grade. SG had additions to qualify it as fuel saving. SH was for semi-synths (if I remember right). You can still find SF in good old Servo while BP claims to have launched SG! Since the minimum called for is SF any of SJ (obsolescent but still current), SL or SM will do. Incidentally SF was the first grade to permit once a year /10000mile oil changes. Last edited by sgiitk : 17th July 2009 at 14:50. |
