Looks good. What material is it made of? Looks like metal to me.

I've read about quite a few CBR owners complaining of bent/damaged radiator fins. This should provide some peace of mind.

Yeah, can remove it, just the manufacturer name.

Material used is Aluminum. So it is very light also.
You are right, takes care of bent radiator fins.

That sure looks like a neat job

I found a very cheap alternate way to save your radiator from stone hits as well as dirt. A small mud flap attached to the front mud-guard solves this issue to a large extent.

Its an eye sore though. Especially on colors other than black.

One of the important reason why did not try this option. Looks bad on red color.

Got the 3rd and last Free service done. Things changed are normal stuff like Oil,Oil filter and Air filter.
Somehow, air filter is getting dirty in this bangalore traffic very soon. I had changed it 5000 kms before once, whereas Honda manual says change at 12k kms

One other piece changed was rear brake switch assembly. Somehow the sleeve of it had torn, so tried replacing only the sleeve but could not. So ended up changing the switch assembly.
I know everybody would be interested in the cost of that, it was INR 49

.

Total cost of the service was INR 1226.

Cool, does the service station offer you any different maps for your ECU?
Believe somebody were mentioning that the new CBR 2012 comes with a different map (please do not quote me as am really not sure)

Would be great if you can check it out and keep us posted...

CBR 2012 does not come with a different map, its just a change in the color scheme and nothing else. But changes i noticed from the first lot of bikes(which is one of mine) to the recent ones are the quality of the fit and finish. Example, if you notice the steering stem nut, the quality used in the recent bikes are far better than the ones i have.

Did a silver CBR also accompany you? Reason I asked is that I saw a similar Pannier on a silver CBR at Saphire Honda, JP Nagar last Saturday. It had a big dent on its fuel tank.

Yes, that's Milind Hiremath's bike. We went together. He was the one who designed this Pannier.

Enjoyed reading your thread. Red CBR looks really good.
Had been to saphire honda, JP Nagar to test ride a CBR250R(ABS) and was really impressed with its power delivery. A heavy guy from saphire weighing around 90KG accompanied me (i weigh 80KG) and the bike pulled effortlessly.
Was doing 80Kmph in a very short time. Low end torque helped really while riding near bangalore central.
I found braking to be really sharp when braked hard from 70kmph.
Engine feels very responsive and got to know from your thread that bike is economical to maintain.
Triple colour was on display and quality and fit and finish looked improved compared to the test ride bike(1st lot).
I am planning to test ride a duke 200 shortly and decide.

Which dealer do you suggest buying a honda from? if decide cbr. I did not like the way saphire honda sales person interacted with me.
