Pretty it aint, but much better than getting something jugaad type done at your local welder. And the payload capacity I think is 30 KG or so. Impressive!
Nice option for sure. Only one concern i see is that all the weight 20kg plus will be towards the rear of the bike. Without a pillion, i see this impacting the bike dynamics, though will know only if one tests this in person.

Hey - 20 KG is the max payload capacity, not the weight of the carrier

The carrier itself weighs around 3 kilos

Its always advisable to travel light. Too much weight, so far back on the motorcycle will really mess the dynamics, I agree. Anyone who has carried a pillion on their dukes without adding pre load to the suspension can tell you how light and lifeless the front end becomes. 0 feedback

1. Could any JC Moto crash bobbins user give a brief review of how it has fared on their Duke? Or are there any better alternatives that have come up since?
2. Which is the better tail tidy kit for the Duke?
3. Preffered paddock stand which is sturdy yet affordable. Any local manufacturer from HYD?

Duke 390 Accessories
Still catching up on the Duke threads after getting my Duke 390 two weeks back.

Paddock Stand
I had ordered this paddock Stand 2 years back from Redlineplus.in for my Z800. Had tried it on this very Duke 390 then that I bought (little did I know that I would replace the Z with the Duke). Anyways back to the topic, the paddock fits the Duke perfectly. I don't remember how much I had paid for it but I believe it was somewhere around 3500-4000.

Tail Tidy
Trying to figure out a good and inexpensive tail tidy kit. Don't want to spend a bomb installing a branded one so will look for some retro fits from another motorcycle (similar to the RTR or the NS200). Will have to check the mountings.

Bar End Indicators
The bar end indicators is something which I have been eyeing since I saw it on a friend's Versys. It really looks very classy.

Tail Bag
Fitted the Nelson Rigg CL-1060-S Sport Tail bag on my Duke 390. Fits perfectly like a glove and the best part is it is tail mounted and you don't have any straps and cords hanging outside. So looks much neater and feels like a part of the bike.
Read the entire review here (The Saddle & Tail Bag Review Thread).

After market sticker options
Wrapandride have a good collection and the stickers look very much OE.

RC Lower fairing / Belly Pan

I know it sounds very weird and may end up in the whacky modifications thread. But here is how it would look.

As regarding the paddock stand, some of the guys in Bangalore have pooled and got us this for 800INR. An el cheapo way as you can all it. But as long as it serves your purpose, who cares for finesse.

Any idea where i can get one please ?

Been looking into these things myself and here are a few things I found. Haven't tried any of it yet but just wanted to see if someone has better options saved up.
1. Tail tidy:
Found two cheap mounts on AliExpress, but hesitating because AliExpress!

2. Bar end indicators:
Found these rather expensive pieces. Anybody know of slightly cheaper and more accessible alternatives?

This one, along with a minimal number plate mount, can really tidy up the rear as it eliminates the need of the rear brake light even!

3. Wrapandride sticker set:
I have their Raceline Series Kit1 sitting with me for a while now. Ordered it when it was on sale for ₹2550. The prices have slightly gone up now. Anyway, will put it on after I get the tank painted/wrapped black from white and the wheels painted black from orange. Will update with pics when I do so.

4. RC tail piece:
I have been sitting on this idea forever of replacing the rear of the Duke with an RC because it would look so much neater and eliminate that humongous rear mudguard which is as ineffective as it is ugly!
Thank you so much for doing a mock-up!

Rolon has launched an ORANGE chain for the Duke/RC twins at India Bike Week 2017. Sadly, I did not take any pictures as my phone was dying. But it looked similar to this one-
KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread-imageuploadedbyteambhp1512592006.257022.jpg
Note: Picture for reference purpose only. NOT a picture of the actual product.

The sales guy told me it will be abailable at all KTM service centres soon and will be priced similar to the regular black chains they already make for KTM, that is around ₹2500, IIRC.

Any idea if this is a direct swap with the existing chain?

Nope, not yet. Been investing in frame sliders and gear for a while. But if you are getting it then don't forget to update us.

Yes, it is. The sprocket size is the same as the stock one Rolon makes for Dukes and so is the chain length. So you can swap just the chains while keeping your current sprocket too. And IIRC, the sprocket that came with the orange chain looked just like the stock one, not colored or anything.

Forgot to mention this other stall I visited at IBW that had crash guards and luggage/saddle bag racks for a bargain! If I remember correctly, the crash guards were priced at ₹3000 and so was the saddle rack. Haven't seen such prices even on AliExpress! My first question was what are they made of and how on earth could he make and sell them for so less. Turns out they are made of steel (don't remember the grade/thickness) and he is an OEM handlebar supplier for Bajaj and has his own factory. Hence he can actually price them so low. The build quality looked very good and so was the paint finish.
The name of the company is Zana International and the gentleman who owns it was Mr. Vibhas (*099531 12277‬).
Here is the link to their Facebook page as their website only has Royal Enfield products listed for now.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Is there any accessory to reduce or deflect the heat emanating from the left side of the 2017 duke 390 model? Do those bend pipe wraps make any difference?

I thought the new models came with a fan shroud which redirects the air flow away from the feet.

Away from the feet perhaps, but my entire left leg (calves, shin and some part of the thigh) gets to feel the intense heat while standing in bumper to bumper traffic despite my jeans and proper footwear.

Wraps wont do anything

You will need to upgrade the cooling system. Look into SPAL fans. Pricey but results are encouraging
