Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

Hunter hunts Ronin. Immediate price correction needed else Ronin will need to be BTO

Great, great pricing by Royal Enfield 👍

Should be around 1.95 to 2.2L on road Bangalore, very close to Ronin. TVS needs to be worried. So is Honda on their 350 series!

Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

I've sadly taken myself out of the motorcycle market for the foreseeable future. If I was still on the lookout, this would be my new number one contender for a city-oriented riding experience. Looks fantastic, and in that silver-teal colour combination, or even the grey-black-red, I'd finally be able to make my tributes to my favourite Formula 1 teams from over the years (Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes AMG Petronas and the 2003 West Mclaren Mercedes).

Finally, a well-proportioned 350 from RE. The Meteor was always a bit too laidback, the Classic a bit too familiar and old-school. This one feels right on so many levels, I can look at this again maybe in a few years time. By then perhaps RE will have shoe-horned a 650 into this lovely stance, one can dream.

Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

Bookings are open. I went to the Enfield showroom here in Bangalore. They had the Retro variant and two Metro Rebel variants on display. No test rides yet. They are scheduled to start only from the 11th Aug.

Colors look catchy, bike looks "accessible". Sporty even. I had a slightly lean forward position. The exhaust note was out of this world. The foot pegs are center set so when I kept my feet down to balance, it fouled with my legs a bit. I guess it is a matter of getting used to it. I could keep both my feet flat on the ground comfortably (am 5'7").

Overall I felt that with the color schemes and what not, it was targeted more at the younger college crowd (unfortunately am past that age) so it seemed a little "raw"/ brash. (Disclosure - I had also just done a TD of the H'ness earlier in the day so maybe the contrast was more pronounced).

OTR in Bangalore for the Metro variant comes around 2.1L without any "mandatory" accessories or the RSA which dealerships force on you.

Overall great pricing from RE but I feel they could have priced the Retro series lower in the range of 1.3-1.35L as currently by increasing the budget just by 8K & going for Dapper series gives a buyer rear disc brakes, better instrument cluster, LED lights, alloy wheels, better tyres etc.

Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

The Hunter lineup seems to be an excellent option for folks who want a great city bike, sans the weight of other RE 350s. Quality looks to be satisfactory (yet to see the bike in person) from the videos on YT.

I am getting too greedy, but a scrambler based on the Hunter? YES!

RE Hunter 350 launched in India at Rs 1.50 lakh

In one of the most eagerly anticipated moments of the year, Royal Enfield has finally launched the Hunter 350 in India. Prices start at Rs 1.50 lakh for the base Retro variant, while the higher Metro variant is priced between Rs 1.64 lakh and 1.69 lakh depending on the colour option. This makes it the most affordable of the J-platform motorcycles, with its siblings the Classic 350 and Meteor 350 starting at Rs 1.90 lakh and 2.01 lakh respectively. Compared to the Bullet 350 (priced between Rs 1.48 lakh and 1.63 lakh), the Hunter is marginally more expensive, but the Bullet is all set to receive an update of its own very soon, which will also be accompanied by a price hike (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

Key points -

- 349cc, single-cylinder engine gets new fuel, ignition maps; same output

- Offered in two variants: Retro and Metro

- 17kg lighter than the Classic 350

More details - https://www.autocarindia.com/bike-ne...50-lakh-425322

Good pricing IMHO. Looks smart, should pull more clients towards RE.

Re: RE Hunter 350 launched in India at Rs 1.50 lakh

Am I the only one who thinks the Hunter is basically a half Interceptor 650? If you ignore the tail, rest of the styling seems to borrow very heavily from the Interceptor. The marketing campaign has also focused on its urban, chic cred the way they did for the Interceptor. The accessories package, the one with the small visor and the bar end mirrors also makes it look eerily like the Interceptor. Is this what RE's game with the Hunter is?

It depends. Few of my group members have booked, and one is BTO. The expected delivery is supposed to be in 2-3 weeks.

Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

This is slightly off topic, but can you transfer your free services from one dealership to another? I'm looking to buy a new motorcycle (probably a Hunter), but I might be moving to a different state in 5-6 months. I don't suppose I should face any issues getting warranty claims but someone told me dealers treat you coldly if your vehicle wasn't purchased from them since they haven't earned money from you. I don't think paid services should be an issue but free services?

I'm asking generally but since I'm considering gettin the Hunter I thought I'd ask in the Hunter thread.
