For folks like me who likes retro-cruisers but can't stand questionable reliability, poor build quality and lack of modern niceties, this Honda is just perfect. H'ness is a silly name, no doubt, but the overall package is so attractive that the silliness can be excused. I fell for this bike at first sight.

Who would have thought Honda would be the first brand to rival Royal Enfield in their own turf? The fact they managed to keep this launch under wraps until earlier this week is quite a feat. I'm seriously contemplating on buying this to replace my 2006 Pulsar 150 and hope the H'ness CB350 stays true to what we expect from cruisers in general (relaxed power delivery and vibration-free cruising capability) and Honda in particular (fuss-free ownership, rock-solid reliability and good build quality).

Honda seems to have got the game right! Competitively priced! Going by the reputation, Honda shouldn't have compromised on build quality!
The RE Classic 350 had started losing its charm way back and doesn't offer much in terms of instrumentation! The ride quality isn't that great either.
H'ness has adequate amount of technology mixed with the retro styling.

I so love the styling, elegant and unpretentious. I am no cross country tourer and definitely no track champ. This bike looks just like - well, me! Definitely gets a spot on the top of my list for upgrading from my P180. Honda's famed reliability will be the icing on the cake as I am not a fan of the love-hate relationship the Bullet has to offer.

Although, I wish Honda were not so hell bent on sticking it to RE ( everything about the bike including the name screams war! ). They had the expertise and resources to offer a twin and make it interesting. I would have considered no other option if they had offered this with a twin.

I am happy that finally manufacturers realised that good looking motorcycle doesn’t mean plastic clad funkiness. I am actually proud that Indians have a good design taste and have bought the Enfields, which eventually has brought Jawa to life and now pushed Honda to create these beautiful retro classic machines. IMHO retro classic styling will never get outdated. Awesome job Honda! I am curious to see how much this will eat into RE sales.

I really wish they named it just CB 350 sticking with the lineage. Also a chrome twin pod instrument cluster would have been perfect. They should also launch special editions just like RE.

This is a very tastefully done nostalgia inducing modern bike. Would be a blast to ride about with that low end torque. At 181 Kgs, I feel its still a bit heavy. Hope to find some ways to shed some weight that will make it much more nimble.

Here is a walkaround video which gives a nice idea about the bike. Must say the dual tone version looks better to me than the single tone one.
It also has:
1. Toggle switches on handlebar to browse through the MID. The lower version has two buttons on the meter.
2. Dual chrome horns in comparison to singe non chrome horn.
3. Smartphone integration which Honda calls as HSVCS (Honda Smartphone Voice Control System)

To a fan of 70s Japanese Motorcycles, the H'ness is a worthy throw back to the legendary CB range of bikes.
Love the engine design which looks like it's been carried over unchanged from a vintage CB.
For a change Honda seems to have got the pricing right. The bike sure has a lot of features for a retro bike.
Wish they come up with a lower variant with spoke wheels, analogue twin pod instrumentation and all halogen lighting, that would complete the vintage look and will be even more affordable.

The name H'ness would have more suited a Chinese rip off. For me CB350 would have been enough.

Not sure whether it would sway away all RE fans, but an objective comparison would easily reveal that it's a better bike in every way.
However the 'thump', ' built like a gun feel', 'history' and other characteristic RE factors would be surely missed. RIP good old Bullet!

Slightly off topic: Hope Yamaha takes inspiration and plan for a RD350 revival too.

Excellent product there by Honda. I'm fed up seeing too many RE classics on road. Welcome move by Honda. Surely this is going to be a blockbuster hit. What Jawa failed with RE will be done by his Hiness Honda.

So, I made up my mind overnight and went online to book the H'ness CB350 only to find out Chennai doesn't have a Big Wing outlet. I had to choose between Coimbatore, Erode or Tirunelveli. What a bummer, this!

You can't stop with launching a product, Honda. You got to sell them too. There's no excuse for not having an outlet in Chennai!

Good show by Honda India, unlike their 4 wheeler counterpart! That's a great looking motorcycle and the pricing looks spot-on! Love the one without the decal.

The name really sucks though! No two ways about it! They should have just left it alone with CB350.

And that brings me to the next point. Both those badges have to go, from the fuel tank and the side pods, and this one will look even better. Will debadging leave any holes? Hope it's just stuck on with glue and can be removed by some good old elbow grease and sunshine.

They do not have showroom even in Delhi. So if I purchase this from Gurugram, (some 30 kms away), am I supposed to go there for every service/spare parts requirement?
