My 8 year old Honda Unicorn better known as CBF-150. All patched up. One of the first few bikes in bangalore. Lotta niggles, but you got to love the sound she makes when you wind the engine up all the way to 9000 revs. Panels etc not available in bangalore for this grand daddy of all Unicorns.

Okay just saw this thread here is my 2 wheeled ride history

1) Bajaj super - Dads scooter- but it was mostly mine
2) Bajaj SX Enduro 2000-2003 - gas guzzling POS but still loved the bike
3) Honda unicorn - 2004 - till now - my daily A to B carrier
4) ?? - not yet decided - hopefully (provided the higher authority at my house approves ) CBR250R or if Yamaha launches a 250cc R series bike

Here are my rides:
1) Kinetic Luna: 1992 - 1994 - Used it during my college days. Was a simple, no-nonsense vehicle, though it did not have much character and was a commuter's choice (particularly for college going kids).
2) Kinetic Honda: Dad had purchased it way back in 1989 and I used it from 1996 up until 2005. Had superb acceleration - the punch of a 2 stroker!
3) Yamaha Crux: 2007 - 2009 - Was bitten by the motorcycling bug and wanted something like the good-old RX100. No bike other than the Crux provided the kind of look and feel. I purchased it and used it for couple of years but slowly started feeling that this is severely under powered and hence sold it when I booked my next ride
4) Bullet 350 UCE: 2010 to present: Test rode it at a showroom somewhere in May - Jun 2010 and instantly fell for it; Booked it and got delivered in Nov 2010; have done 10K kms so far.

1989 to 2000: RD 350, Did nearly 90,000 Kms which included a trip to the Valley of flowers/Badrinath. Sold it my friend's nephew who now works for an auto magazine and is taking care of it with love and care

My first and so far only bike is a hero Honda achiever that I bought in October 2006. Pretty good bike and supposedly based on the Honda unicorn. Only thing is it was a sales flop so spares are a bit of an issue, but regular maintenance is not an issue as the same 150cc engine is used.

Yamaha FZ16 -10k kms, 3 years old. Although the bike is used for very short distance daily, it brings a smile everytime she is revved(>8k) . Holds the road like a leech, leans at obscene angles with astute confidence.
Only thing I wished for was some more power and a 6th gear.

The following were the bikes I owned, each had its own behaviour

1. Hero Puch - 1999 till 2005 ( Gave it away after the silencer incident, the silencer pipe fell off the road on my way back from college and me in a hurry picked up the hot pipe before another vehicle could go on it - resulted a heated palm.

2. Suzuki Shogan: Was with me from 2002 till 2004, was my brothers friends who had left it in Bangalore as he had lost a year or 2 in his engineering. I was in love with this bike to an extent of me being over confident - resulted in me having 3 rolls on the road and crash!! Stichtes near my ribs area post which I gave this bike up.

3. Honda Unicorn: 2005 till date: My Unciorn, the one with whom I can talk to, never has she let me down, never. Even on my first date with my girlfriend (now my wife) back in 2006 on the NICE to be constructed stretch near Omkar hills, we had the fuel tank empty situation. I told my GF hey, now come on say 1,2 &3 and I will show you the top speed and she said that, post which bike was doin 120 Kmph. At the end of the road the bike stopped with no fuel in it - resulted in me talkin to Unicorn "please dont give me up, please drive on till the nearest bunk" and it did that (of course with our bending the bike and blowing the tank technique). I call her 'Fripsy' for the growl I get to hear.

2004 Bajaj Pulsar 180DTSI V1 - Going strong at 80,000 plus kms.

2009 Yamaha R15 - 14000kms and sold it just to get a new commuter.

2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R - 7000kms and adding.

A few thousand kms on some other machines that didnt belong to me.
