The weight of the bike is definitely an issue for big guy like me (6 feet 1 inch). I will try my best to avoid lifting the bike....it feels really heavy. Need to be proactive when parking the bike, especially on slopes.
I have kept the radiator and sump guard with those plastic ones unless I plan on a off-road trip which I may not anytime soon... will be adding a prospec easy ride as addon to the original windshield, this seems to be better from what I read online compared with touring windscreen...

Parking is something that has to be planned unlike other bikes. Both space (due to its lean) and the slope angle of the road (due to its weight of the bike) is really important.

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Review

Went in for 1 year service of my Himalayan 450. ODO reading: 4000 kilometres. Couldn't do any long distances because of personal commitments. Basic oil and airfilter service was done. My amsoil synthetic oil was drained and REs own liquid gun 10W40 was put instead. As soon as I took delivery, I noticed a prominent change in NVH levels in a negative way. The handlebar and footpegs felt more vibey which was non-existent when I had the synthetic amsoil. I now firmly believe the new sherpa 450 would perform best with synthetic 10W40 compared to the OE oil. Will do a couple of thousand kilometres and get rid of the stock oil.

It is back now. They briefly stopped it towards March end as there was a price hike planned form April 1st onwards. Hence it wasn’t showing up. Smart move.

It is up now, I just did a booking for Hanle Blk with tubeless. The wait starts now!!

Hi, How is the new visor going on for you? All good? While you are seated on the bike, does this visor get into the direct line of sight or lower? How is teh overall feedback. I am also looking to get one from CR, but in tinted black.

Also - Any suggestions in the forum for auxiliary lights?

I have the carbon racing visor, tinted black one. Its not perfect, there is still wind buffeting at the top of the helmet, may be 4-5 cms more height is required.

it does come in the line of sight but you will easily get used to it and does not bother me anymore. The tinted one might be a challenge for vlogging if you do that.

I have added extra rubber to the visor, but it still rattles a bit at certain rpm. The other problem is, i have the RE handguards installed and when you turn the handle to the extreme left, the brake handguards hit the CR windshield. this is restricting only the last 1 cm of the handle movement, so does not hinder functionality at all, but wanted to mention the problems.

All said and done, i am surprised no one in the market still made the perfect Windshield for the himalayan 450. i would definitely buy one.

Yesterday i saw a video of someone modifying the Ktm 390 adventure Windshield to fit the him 450. there was a bit of cutting and jugaad done, so i 'll want to see how well it works out before trying that option.

For Aux lights, i got HJG mercedes fog lights for like 4500, they are projector based, so if installed correctly, won't blind anyone. There are other better models within HJG, 124 and 125 to name a few. see Sam garage youtube channel for ideas.

You can read my DIY installation post here (Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Review)

When you say it comes in the line of sight, you will be viewing the road ahead of you through this visor? Won't it be a bit uncomfortable? And when it is a tinted one, how about in night in that case, and if there happens to be scratches on it - won't it impact the clear view. How does it work?

POV from the cockpit with camera mounted on the chin of the rider.

Basically, you will get used to it immediately and its not a problem day or night in me personal experience. you can get the non tinted one if you are concerned.

Asking Review of Rally Seat

Hello All Riders,
Has anyone got 855mm Rally seats

Please share your reviews, how comfortable is it on long rides and it's impact on posture, feel and control.

Currently I am using touring seats, looking towards upgrading to a Rally Seat.

Thank You

I purchased RE's ADV Windscreen and will stick to it. Its good enough for my 5'7ish height.
CR was good but it was causing me visibility concerns in LOS after plenty of scratches. A tinted one is big no from me.

Also, I couldn't stand the vibrations after using it for some time.

I'm trying to get my hands on the tubeless rims accessory for my Hanle Black. It is out of stock for many months now. Any leads on how I can get them?

Did you contact one of the dealer and they said it is not of stock?

About 2500 kilometres from Chandigarh at Coimbatore. Will try my luck with other dealers in my area. Surely one of them must have it in stock.
