N_C, Activa is there in market for last 4 years without any change. I am looking for a scooter within family for quick small time commuting. I know Activa is a wonderful scooter, but I don't want to buy it since IMHO, it is due for upgrade. Probably Honda has become complacent with Activa's success.

The 180 Dtsi gives around 42+ if driven like a commuter bike otherwise it is around 38.

What's so special about the pulsar??? I myself have been a owner of one but still I ask. LOL

BTW buy pulsar 180 if you like pulsar or else go for Apache if you are looking at 150cc.

im buying a bike because traffic in the day is becoming a pain and commuting from one place to another is much easier on a bike.right now i use a kinetic and i want to upgrade.nothing speical about a pulsar but its a bike which i feel is in between power and FE and thats something what im looking for.

Its a new bike from TVS. It more powerful than the pulsar 150 and competitive to the pulsar 180dtsi( but doesnt beat the 180)

TVS is a better combo of power with similar FE to pulsar 150 and atleast you wont be among those lakhs of people who use pulsar to commute. your bike will stand out for some time.

i have the new pulsar 180 and belive me if ride it carefully it easily gives 48-52kmpl.if you push it it returns anywhere between 42-45kmpl.

and yes the effeciency does improve over time.initially during the first 3-4 months it gave me only 40-41kmpl.

I mean Better Engine

Well dude, i actually dragged with da bike Pulsar 150 n Unicorn. the drag strip was bout 1km long. So heres the result

1. Pulsar 150 classic vs Unicorn - Pulsar took off at first n also won where da unicorn was only 1.5 seconds diffrence. both the bikes were stocks, no special mods. i drove da pulsar. To be truthfull the pulsar will beat unicorn top end.

2. Pulsar 150 V1 vs Unicorn - Pulsar took off as usual, but the pulsar dtsi suffers a lil at mid range torque, so unicorn was along with da pulsar, but in the end uni had won by 0.83 sec. The driver of pulsar was a friend n me was riding uncorn. To be truthfull the pulsar will beat unicorn top end.

3. Unicorn vs HH Achiever vs Pulsar Classic ("I" in da achiever) - Pulsar classic as usual took off, Achiever took off second n uni last. Results da unicorn (115) beat Achiever in topend. N pulsar classic as usual beat me n the unicorn.

SO dude heres my spec's , SO according to my vote u can go in for da unicorn or Hh Achiever as the present Pulsar aint as good as classic (i dont mean to harm any pulsar owners). Caz unicornn achiever u can mod da bike for performance. and one thign more, I never felt like reving da unicorn beauty caz the biek is too "Elegant" . U can go on for pulsar 180cc v2, its good but suffers a lil da gearbox, rest of all r fine. If uc an wait Yamaha Will launch the Gladiator 150cc(fuel injectin system) which can even beat puslar 180cc. SO think bout it.
Also if ya need a vid of CBz VS Unicorn vs Pulsar classic , i have the vidz. Chase cam that is. reply me if ya want it.

P.s :- Pulsar owners i didnt mean to make pulsar weak here, just saying the truth. SO i dont want any fights to happen here.
