Hello All, I am new to Team BHP and a Kinetic Flyte Owner since Gudi Padwa Day. Luckily, i have not experienced any major Issues except for Mileage. Even after 1st Service, it doesn't go above 35. Like, if i fill 1 Litre Petrol and use the whole 1 ltr. Petrol in one day, it gives a Mileage of around 38 - 40. But if i fill 2 Ltrs. Petrol and it lasts for about 3 days, i get a mileage of 32 - 35 kmpl. Dunno if this is normal or a fuel tank defect . Before purchasing the vehicle, i did not even consider Flyte because of the Kinetic Tag. I was more inclined towards Pleasure. But as is happening with most of them, even my Wife loved the Flyte after taking a Test Ride and finally i ended up buying Flyte. And this is my first experience with Kinetic Bike.

@ Manish: Even i am from Pune and purchased Flyte from Law College Showroom from the great Mr. Sachin. The problems you are experiencing is really alarming. I hope it's just a one off case and not a recurring problem with all the Flytes.
Even i had experienced some Issues initially. While taking delivery of the Vehicle, they gave me a different vehicle than the one i had selected. They told me that that Bike i had selected had some engine problem. I had no choice but to take the other vehicle. And this Bike had a big scratch on the right panel which they then replaced during first servicing.

Average of 37-38 is very common. The service center guys would confirm it themselves. The fuel tank problem results in average of 6-7 kmpl, it's that bad!

As for rest - I am keeping my fingers crossed. My wife was out of city and just took her flyte out today after servicing, we'd know by Saturday if the problem is still there.

- Manish

I haven't heard anything from Jane yet, but we haven't noticed any leakage in last few days, so I guess the problem has been fixed now. I hope there are no more problems now....

Manish, hope you will not get the problem again. My Flyte is doing well, no problems yet. Recently have not checked the FE, and I am suspecting a below 40 mileage. Apart from this, bike is doing great.

Manish,

Your experience was really scary with the service center. But glad to know that you are not having the same problem again and wish you dont get any more problems. I too own a Flyte and thankfully have not faced any problems. Its due for first service in a day or two. Have to see how the attitude of the service guys will be. Fingers crossed!!

I dont know when they would learn from their mistake. I too own a Flyte and the interactions that i had with Service Guys and Sales Guys is not that good, !!! There are lot of things to improve ... I took delivery of the vehicle on 12th March and i was given an insurance cover note starting from 12th May ... When i received the actual insurance i was shocked to see that the start date as 16th May ! (I had to return it back as there were lots of spelling misake in my name & address )

Problems again - starting problem now!!!!

Our flyte is giving problems again. It all started yesterday when Pune had some rains. Suddenly my wife's Flyte 's bettery went kaput. The Flyte started by just pressing the brake lever (crazy!) and then when we we planning to home together - the Flyte won't simply start with button start, and the indicators & horn were too low as well. I suspected battery discharge and after several kicks it finally started. Today my wife again started it with kick in the morning and when she had to go out to get fuel in the afternoon...Flyte again won't start, her assistant helped her to start after several kicks again. She called up Dr. Kinetic (yet another Kinetic joke), he told her to call up after some time as he was having lunch. She called up again and this time he told her that he won't be able to come today as he has 3 other appointments. he said he'd show up tomorrow. Now is she supposed to wait till tomorrow for Dr. Kinetic to arrive when Flyte is not even starting? This is really frustrating because we are having far too many problems and apparently no one from Kinetic seems to listen...I haven't received any reply for the mail I had sent to Jane last time either!! So I wonder if they even care to read those mails......

We are seriously considering consumer court now, I can sell of this Flyte; but would prefer to teach a long overdue lesson to Kinetic. Their products are just junk.....am really annoyed!!!

Oh no! Not again Manish. Really sorry for your plight with the Flyte. If you are in Pune, why do not you contact the higher officials in person. Go directly to the Kinetic head office and tell them that you are going to take things legally. Maybe there is a problem with Starter Motor. I have got the problem with my Blaze too. We have to see what happens to our Flyte in the coming rainy season.

Sorry to hear you are having a nightmare with the Flyte Manish... Thankfully, mine is running fine and has even been driven in heavy Bangalore rains twice without any untoward incidents. Also the 500km 1st service is done and i did not have any issues with the service centre as well... Touch wood everything seems to be fine as of now!! Will start an ownership thread of the flyte soon... Just want to reach at least 2500 or 3000 kms before i give my opinion as, for the short term everything seems to be fine but the problems if any (God forbid) would show up in the long term.. So waiting for the flyte to munch away the miles before i give an ownership report...

Apparently problems are plenty for Pune owners. My wife got really annoyed and spoke to regional manager Mr. Rajput - she managed to get someone to pick up her Flyte but they would be delivering it tomorrow. (She filled some 200 rs petrol, we just hope that they don't steal it). The guy mentioned that there are some 5-6 severe problem cases in Pune today after heavy rain yesterday. The fuel tank problem is a design flaw in Flyte that was rectified in newer Flytes - Abhinav, you probably have the newer one.

We are more than annoyed with our Flyte and once we settle score with Kinetic, we are planning to sell it off. I am consulting one consumer forum activist to know how can we file for exemplary damages against Kinetic.

Do that, should let them know that temp. fixing a persisting problem doesnt mean much.

Why dont they fix a new flyte's tank onto your flyte?

They said they have already done that, but second time leakage problem was due to some loose nut bolts. :( This time the battery has gone kaput. They inform us that some circuit has blown (short?) and they would replace it & test it and would deliver the vehicle today evening....let's see! I can't believe that just one rain can cause so much damage!!!

Go in for aviator or access.
Access would be comparatively easier to maneuver.
