I drove the S-Cross (1.3) and Eco SPort back to back. Must say that the overall lightness and spaciousness in the S-cross was a big plus. Though the Ecosport felt more solid (heavy). The light steering was a delight in the S-Cross. As an earlier swift owner, it felt familiar in a pleasant way though more mature. I would say an excellent package overall. The Ecosport to its merit has better thigh support and headroom, though does not give an impression of roominess.

Though there is more torque in the ES, as someone pointed out the free revving engine on the S-cross does give it an advantage. For someone who doesnt mind a car like crossover, the S-cross is the choice. For those who need an SUV feel the ES is the choice. It really came down to that for me.

HI All,
I had nearly Zeroed in on the Eco-Sport diesel. Until the S-cross suddenly crept in mind. How does the performance of the 1.3 compare with the Eco-sport?

They are very close contenders indeed!

Hopefully this helps, http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...50-cometh.html

Could you please share the OTR price breakup ?

Hello Fellow Members, The 2 slat grill (Indian) version is an eye sore. I'm trying to find if there are any means to get the European grill in India (Maharashtra)?

Any advise on this will be much appreciated.

Everything about the S Cross is better for sure than the EcoSport.
The price, however is significantly higher.
Saying that, I would pick the S Cross any day and I would specifically buy only the top spec version with the lovely powerful 1.6 engine!
This car really feels very European in comparison to others in its class and I really like it a lot.

Completed PDI of my SCross today. No issues observed.

The manufacturing month is Oct'15 and all 5 tyres were from the same month. It was close to 50kms on the odo which is acceptable. :)

Thats a good price. Alpha 1.6 in Chennai touches 17L here I guess, without discounts though. Can probably get a lakh off at the max I guess

Hello friends, need some advice on how can i improve the head lights of S cross 1.3 Zeta.
Even in high beam the throw of light is not good enough on a not very lit up highway.
Tried speaking to Nexa, but alpha upgrade for lights is not yet available.
Any suggestions please ?

Have you gone through this thread? http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ting-here.html

Your choices in this case are:
1. Get a better quality bulb (Osram Nightbreaker +, Philips ExtremeVision) at the same stock wattage
2. Fit aux lamps
3. If and only if the reflector design itself is OK and the issue is the bulb, then you can upgrade the wattage. Be aware that a higher wattage bulb in a poorly designed reflector does not really help. And higher wattage bulbs are technically illegal. However, the experiment is relatively cheap, so worth a shot.

In case you are unable to provide a detailed review, atleast share the driving experience so far, in briefplease:

My RM told me that S-Cross sales have crossed 6k for the month of November. Festival season, discounts and Baleno launch actually helped S-Cross sales. I have seen Nexa RMs trying to convert Baleno diesel buyers to stretch and buy S-Cross.

From 9.7 lakhs for Baleno Alpha to 11.3 lakhs for S-Cross Zeta is hardly 1.5 lakhs more. I would have also given a thought in that situation.

Let us take this news with a pinch of salt though.
